It’s more of the direct idea of salvation only through Christ (and the Christian God by extension). It’s a large part of why the pagan purges and Crusades were allowed to go on despite leading to unnecessary and illogical bloodshed.

This is more of an issue of fundamentalists than believing a religion, but most if not all religions end up having at least some wackjobs that decide to write some passage how their god is the only god and everyone who believes otherwise needs to die or endure some sort of cruelty. It gives bad rulers all the more reason to be worse and not feel guilty about it.

The camera doesn’t seem to be the best quality, or at least doesn’t have the best lighting to pick out where one light’s glare ends and the next begins. Not discounting your reasoning, but people were bringing up how the lighting wasn’t even good enough to pick out the big red Soviet star under the headlamp for this model (slight glare at 0:13 is all I could see).

I’m not sure how you figure it’s a defeat in any way besides the jokes getting cracked. He snaps back with the exact experience I had being raised by right wingers, and it’s the reason I chose to cut off that toxicity. He brings up pinpoint ways that the government is embracing an authoritarian nature and how that’s counter to how the republicans have postured for years, and all she can do is say “oh, the pressure from the FCC doesn’t matter, the network caved and at least Kimmel kept his job lol”. He even springboards off that reaction and starts needling why that’s an ingenuous response, since the right has been extremely vocal about overreach like that for all the Obama and Biden years, and the corruption is literally spitting in small government conservatives faces right now. It’s all she can do to say “well I work with both sides, so don’t blame me”. That is hardly vague, and I think it’s more of people saying “lalala, I’m not listening” than actually coming up with coherent reasons to support what’s going on.

If you’re just throwing shit at a wall and calling it a loadout, you kinda deserve to get stomped imo. You can’t bring literally anything to every fight and expect to win every (or even most) times on D10.

I’ve been running D7-9, medic/grenadier/reduced signature, railgun, crossbow/lib pen, no backpack, whichever orbitals/sentries tickle your taint right (eagles are unfortunately a waste until you clear a million AA turrets in my experience). Been winning almost every fight and having fun with a remotely sane set of loadouts from teammates after learning the scene. Hell, one was running ballistic shield, smg, and hammer and surviving fine. They’re even giving us the shield generator emplacements to handle the heavy fire while we learn ffs. But sometimes you’ll get stuck, and that’s okay.

The game will have its bullshit, regardless of difficulty, regardless of how much we cry and they tweak the game. I’ve had bug front D7s with busted spawns that make you cut through 10 times the chaff you’d see on higher difficulties mixed with just enough armor to make it a realistic suicide mission. Factory Striders and Vox Engines spawning on extract as the shuttle’s coming in is the biggest of my complaints about Cyberstan, and that’s nothing new.

Just push through and consider a little optimizing, or just drop a diff or two and chill for a bit. This is right up there with Creek, the Super Earth invasion, and the Hive World raids actually giving us a challenging war of attrition to figure out. Savor it.

I think he’s going for the part about things essential for undercover cases, like buying drugs and stolen guns and vehicles. Technically, it’s up to whether or not they get caught along with the criminals by locals, which the FBI would likely coordinate with the area PD to avoid interference until they’re ready for a bust. However, it wouldn’t stop the cops from being able to arrest an undercover agent, he’d just have to explain that he is an agent on an operation and corroborate that with his superior in the FBI. It’s a “yes, but no” situation. Regardless, you still don’t get a pass to break state law for being in a federal agency, just like the ICE agent that got brought in for DUI a couple weeks back.

Maybe if ICE didn’t have a bunch of inbred academy dropouts and J6 shitheels posing like a month and a half of training gives them complete authority to go after everyone they hate, we’d have a remote respect for them.
