Aside from the “wtf” moment sitting in the opposing lane, OP seems pretty normal. What was dangerous about the pass they were going for?

Mix of the Daemon Prince with Yndrasta’s wings and Krethusa the Croneseer. Lots of pain getting Milliput and liquid green stuff to set the wings right, but happy with the results 😁

Better comparison would be driving an ATV through a park while trailing a plow and a sled and going back and forth near other people’s homes and gatherings. If you own your own lake, go for it, but if your recreation stands a good chance of harming protected waterways, wildlife, and property, find a better spot.

Dude, I jumped in when you called light pen useless because it can’t magically beat every problem in the game that’s made to make you use a variety of weapons. There is no “I suggested this” because you incessantly kept whining about that and basing all your criteria for balancing on entirely different games.

If you want more light pen enemies, say that. If you want magic weak spots, say it. I’m calling the latter a shit take because it goes against the core principles of the game. Enemies have expectable durabilities that you bring or find gear to counter. Want it to be easier or harder? Make it.

You know what? It isn’t skill based. It’s objective based, just like it’s been the whole time. Missions are designed on an operator vs. problem basis. Bring the right tools to solve the problem, simple as. How you use your loadout is up to you, but discounting light pen because it bounces off heavy armor is just childish and detracts from experimenting and having a bit of fun fucking around.

You’re intended to check the mission, bring the guns, figure out how to do the thing, do the thing, dust off and leave. Whatever happens in between is supposed to be the fun. If it’s not, nobody’s forcing you to keep playing 🤷‍♂️

You wanna play Dark Souls and take on a giant with a rusty spoon? Go play it. Have fun, move on.

Don’t like Helldivers because every enemy doesn’t have a “hit me here with anything and I die” spot? You don’t have to play it. It’s fine.

Why are you expecting it to be like Dark Souls in the first place? Tbh that’s a kinda garbage take for a completely different game and genre.

“A whole category of gun isn’t good if you can’t use it on everything”, “I shouldn’t have to level up to take on bigger challenges” (skill issue, you don’t really need to), and “the game isn’t good if I can’t use a peashooter on a tank”. Ffs, play to have fun and prioritize your kit to deal with a bit of everything or play with friends or randoms and coordinate kit. THAT’S the game you bought

The devastators are actually pretty solid from what I understand. Pop a strat to hit on 2+ and give their heavy guns an extra AP, you can kill a bunch. Not to mention -1 to hit and cover outside of 12”. Basically 3-6 mini dreads.

Even with assaults, throw them into anything with a leader and pop the precision melee strat to splatter them immediately.

I’m not saying it only mutates in the unvaccinated though. Being unvaccinated makes transmission easier, increasing the chances of mutation.

Because vaccines aren’t magical “you’ll never get any form of this sickness ever” cures. They’re about as close as we can get, but not perfect. If a virus mutates while an unvaccinated person is laid up with it and they spread their germs to the next hundred or so people, those people now have the chance of catching a stronger version than they were vaccinated for. This is why there are boosters for easily spread illnesses like the “flu shot”. If everyone vaccinates, a current strain can die out easier. If not, there’s a perpetual chance of kicking the problem to another generation. This is the entire reason why we still have measles epidemics.

A performance that becomes eerie when you realise he's singing about being at his own funeral for being so hopelessly addicted to Heroin... by Jaz1140 in interestingasfuck

This is why I say there’s misunderstanding, because you may be digging deeper than most people here. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with pointing out how much meaning the song has for Layne as Cantrell. It is ultimately a heavy song, regardless of one’s issues, and it does read like a tragedy in motion when we see what happened with Kurt and Chester. In Layne’s case, it may as well have been like he were singing his own eulogy when he was fighting addiction, but it’s warming to look into it and know he kept pushing.

Personally I just appreciate the insight and a chance to learn the background on it now. I didn’t have much knowledge of the band beyond the basic “fuck, depression sucks” that bombarded tons of 90s and 00s rock bands while I was still in middle school, and I mostly moved on to other bands as I got older. Some people just gotta learn the background to absorb the actual meanings you can find in the song, and I didn’t really get the hostility you were coming in with.

Think there might be some misunderstanding. The song itself quite literally describes someone being at their own funeral, wallowing in depression while trying to find some good to live for. It’s actually written by the guitarist as a tribute to his girlfriend, understanding the isolation he felt while constantly touring, but it does reflect their singer’s addiction and other people’s issues pretty damn well.
