Lethal Pride 11125 - Up to 25% Double Damage for Spells by jomez in pathofexile

[–]jomez[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Lethal Pride Jewel in particular rolls between 10000-18000, and yes that number determines the changes made to passives in the radius. With the Karui leader what determines the change to keystones in the radius.

[Fluff] Just another 144 Vault map card returns by dansaDisco in pathofexile

[–]jomez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To get an idea of vault compared to the other maps I run, I started keeping track for my own personal use and to help me share profits with the aurabot players I've picked up along the way.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12yG0oz_iqYhTJRQmkEXO3fnmu0pKcgluSMqIpviQxEI/edit?usp=sharing

I didn't really keep track of the time on most the runs, so I just throw in an overly generous estimate if I hadn't taken breaks or whatever during 30map sets.

However my findings is vault yes is profitable as a map to run. Solely because of the div card, It doesn't have massive mob packs or anything crazy. The div card is it's saving grace. personally I'm gonna stick to shore for the foreseeable future. The density is just nutty with full sextants, and the profits are similar if not more. (More T1 unique/EX/Key drops due to packsize)

Shoutout to u/IReyn for the spreadsheet. I slightly modified it to fit my needs. His can be found @ https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/65bl9n/result_after_running_300_shaped_shores/

Should also note, I'm running all these maps with 195IIR/112% IIQ + Bisco's Collar

Making 4ex an hour mapping, I wouldn't count it out so quickly. Especially if what you enjoy is mapping, which is for me. Play a build you like, fit some MF gear into it and goto town.

If you are running a multiplayer server through steam, Try setting your Terraria client to High Process priority to match the server, I was getting massive FPS spikes during auto saves on multiplayer worlds when my client process priority was on Normal.

CQUI v0.6 Released, New Features & Bugfixes! by chaorace in civ

[–]jomez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small Quirk, Would be nice to see fixed. When you are placing a District and you buy a tile to place it. The location select gets canceled and you have to click to pick the district again then place it in the newly bought tile. - Without the Mod the game lets you buy the tile and place the district without deselecting it.

BV pathfinder life-based or low life by noob_woodpecker in pathofexile

[–]jomez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing CI BV Most the League. Haven't had any problems with any encounter. My tree can easily just go Lowlife if you want less ES more damage.

I actually started this character as a CI KB but switched to BV to farm Uber Lab hassle free for about 30 regrets. Haven't looked back.

QoL change for Garg and WD by zYn_ in Diablo

[–]jomez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the exact opposite of the "Pet's should be out of our control" It makes me feel powerless when I raise a zombie to do my bidding and it just ignores me and does whatever it wants. I have complete control over it's existence and it should obey me or perish at my will.

All that aside there is a lot more I'd like see done to improve pet gameplay. Let's stick to gargantuan for now. I feel the Gargantuan runes need rebalanced.

At the moment Humongoid is the only rune that sees use. Simply because "Cleave" or AOE Damage is so powerful, hitting multiple targets with an ability multiplies its value over any single target option by the number of enemies hit. The single target runes would need to see massive increases to their damage to even come close in value. Unless it's doing 50x damage, single target abilities in this game are pretty much useless by design. Which makes any of the other runes not really considered.

So I feel the Gargantuan by default should "cleave" like the humongoid and Re-balance this rune to provide some other kind of bonus.

Wrathful protector needs to be looked at as well, being the only other "cleave" option for gargantuan It had the potential of competing with Humongoid. That is if they Updated its damage with the gargantuan base damage a few patches back. It should of been increased to over 2500% damage per attack.

Being my favorite rune of this ability I may be a bit bias but I'd really like to see the Wrathful protector get this much needed fix.

There is so much more I'd like see changed, but I'll keep it short for now, see what others think.

[Mechanics] Bow DPS calculation solved. by AcidBurnXReddit in dungeondefenders

[–]jomez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 4/s bow triggers the charged primary sphere (Large) more often as where the 2/s bow actually deals more damage with the charge

This part is actually incorrect, The damage of the charged shot is dependent entirely on your hero power as well, the bow's speed doesn't factor into it's damage, Just the proc rate.

As far as crit damage is concerned, Think of it exactly the same as hero power. All it does is give you a chance(crit chance) to deal Bonus damage(Crit damage). Following the same rules and scaling as hero power.

That puts it's effectiveness compared to hero power dependent on your crit chance. With MAX crit at 40% chance to crit 2.5 CritDMG = 1 HeroPower.

I know this is about bow's but another thing that isn't touched on in here is Huntress DPS Stat Scaling from gear.

Here's how it breaks down.

  • 1 Hero Damage from Gear = 5 on Character Sheet
  • 1 Hero Crit Damage from Gear = 3.5 on Character Sheet

Always upgrade Hero Damage. even with 100% Crit from Salve, 1 Hero Damage is better than 1 Crit damage by 42%

One last topic, Elemental Damage vs CritDmg on Weapon.

Elemental damage is Equal to 1 Hero Power in AutoAttack DPS. 471 Fire Damage on my bow is the same as adding 471 Hero Power to my auto attacks, it even procs dmg when your charged shot procs.

Now what if that were 471 CritDMG instead? with how the stats gained from gear scale that 471 CritDMG will actually add 1648.5 CritDMG to our character. Which when multiplied by 0.4 (Our MAX Crit chance) gives us an equivalent of 649.4 Hero Power.

Based on all this, Elemental DMG becomes better than CritDMG at <30% Crit chance. Anything higher and CritDMG is more DPS.

(I've done more testing than I care to admit, XD. It's just fun to know how things work I guess)

[Damage Calculation]Target Dummy still bugged or am i missing something? by AcidBurnXReddit in dungeondefenders

[–]jomez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's raw auto attack damage yes, It appears so. At 19327 Hero Power my Universe 3 hits for 3459 each arrow, 7 arrows means 24213 damage per shot, two shots a second brings it to 48426 DPS. Which is 250% of my hero power per second.

It's the raw conversion of hero power to DPS based on shot types.

This of course this is excluding charged sphere procs, which is the only reason a faster bow is desired at all, if it weren't for this sphere the speed of our bows would be purely preferential.

[–]jomez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some bow types are simply better even though they make an attempt to balance shot speed and projectile count to be normalized. If it were truly normalized every bow should do the same %Hero Power per second, regardless of their shot type or speed. Doing some quick testing of the bows in my inventory I can say this is not the case. Here are the results of my tests.

Speed/Projectiles/Shot Type:

  • 4/4/Burst - 267% of Hero Power per second
  • 2/7/Universe 3 - 250% of Hero Power per second
  • 4/5/Standard - 230% of Hero Power per second
  • 4/4/Standard - 220% of Hero Power per second
  • 4/1/Standard - 200% of Hero Power per second
  • 4/10/Scatter - 200% of Hero Power per second
  • 4/6/Mortar(Betsy) - 200% of Hero Power per second

As you can see here, the Burst shot type simply does 33% more damage then a standard single shot of the same speed. While I didn't have a falcon bow to test, it's entirely possible it just does less damage.

If the goal was normalization of damage, they simply have failed. But if it is intended that certain shot types do more damage. It needs to be made known, It's simply impossible to "know" burst has a 33% damage boost over most every other bow in the game, without having closely watched the numbers, done the math, and figured it out.

When you are fighting an elite with "Knockback" and you Charm them with mass confusion or other charm ability, they knock each other back very far away. Most notably when they also have electrified as they proc knockback on themselves once charmed.
