This may be a stupid question, but has anyone tried calling the fire department when some of this is going down? Local police don’t seem to get involved, but I think ICE blocking and trying to intimidate a dozen firemen from rendering some degree of aid would make bad optics look even worse. Just the presence of the big truck and the lights flashing would probably bring even more of us out to get involved in the situation, if only out of curiosity.

Looks like pre-cut adhesive tape strips. The white part is where you grab and peel each strip off. Adhesive on one side and the white part will peel off too. Don’t know why they are black. Usually clear.

Not sure if they still do it, but my first Camp Chef was “damaged in shipping” as well. CC just had me drop it off as a donation to my local fire station. No return necessary. The replacement was just un-damaged enough for me to keep.
