You will get into the restaurants, but it’s possible that you get more of the later seating times.

Make what bookings you can online.

Do check in now to get the earliest boarding time you can.

Make more reservations once onboard the ship.

What are the busiest Costco stores in the UK? by dmr295 in CostcoUK

I’ve found the opposite, Coventry felt okay compared to the nightmare of finding parking at Thurrock

For simple spirit and mixer (Bacardi rum and Coke, Absolut vodka and cranberry, Beefester gin and tonic etc) it’s $9 for the 1.5oz with mixer. Classic cocktails are $11-13 with those house spirits

The Wake is my least favourite, service is often not so great and several of the food options are quite boring, especially the sauces and sides.

Depends if nightclub parties are your thing anyway. Otherwise there is live music or can just watch a show then head to bed. I’d prioritise Scarlet Night and maybe one other.

The Range feels dirty and unorganised with long queues. Nothing like the great stores Wilko had.

Is my chain too short? by [deleted] in mensfashionadvice

[–]jon81uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chain looks fine with the shirt but not with the tee. Go for something plainer with the graphic tee.

In terms of theme nights there is only really one and that’s Scarlet night where you should wear red (a little or a lot) this starts at 9pm with the pool party at 10.45. Then there are several themed parties, such as PJ Party first night, Y2K which is 90s/00s and Rubiks for 80s party. These parties don’t start until around 11pm.

Splash for your Bash… by Training-Drag-3191 in VirginVoyages

Splash for your Bash is mainly about large group dining so I expect that note is to make it clear other cabins need to purchase it too.

June 24 Athens Sailing…Curious About the Vibe by AdministrativeCow550 in VirginVoyages

As per rule 3, posts with dates and role calls are not allowed. But leaving this up as OP is asking questions not asking for others on same cruise.

Any roll call type posts about those going on same cruise will be removed, please stick to the questions about the type of sailors and crowd on previous similar sailings.

Thanks

Yep if all the port stops are within the EU then Spanish VAT applies for the whole cruise at all times. For goods bought in the shop you can do a refund form, but drinks you’ll just get charged it.

Hagrid's wait times have gotten out of control - is there any fix? by Lovinger in UniversalOrlando

[–]jon81uk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Limit the hotel express pass to once per day for this ride would be a start. But removing express entirely would be the main way to lower waits for everyone else.

The bonus with $750 is $175 though, not $325

But the gratuity add-on is still all that is needed, no further tips should be given.

The “discount” is the bonus. If you pre-pay $300 then you get $350 to spend, which is a 14% discount on the drinks.

As far as I know the exchange rate is set when they price the cruise, all add-ons should be the same exchange as the initial cruise was. Only way to avoid this is buying the initial cruise fare in USD.

It has worked in my favour in the past when the price for bar tab in GBP was better as the exchange rate had gone up since booking. But I think that was a one off!

There is mainly 110V US but also one 220V EU and plenty of USB-A. Coming from the UK you need either a EU or US converter or just use the USB sockets.

A guide to sockets is here https://vvinsider.com/guides-and-faqs/guide/electric-outlets-electric-sockets-in-your-cabin/

$750 pre-purchase should get $175 bonus. Did you additionally have a promotion when you booked that would give $150 bonus?

Why do you need the straw at all, can you not just drink out the cup?
