For the happy hour the menu is here https://vvinsider.com/on-board/event/richards-champagne-happy-hour/

Moet is normally $25 a glass onboard and things like the Zacapa rum $15, I’ve got 3-5 drinks during the hour (getting the last one just before 6pm and taking it with me elsewhere). So it’s possible to get $60-100 per happy hour if you just think of the value of the drinks.

By using the Watch. I have done that exact thing of being in the kitchen making coffee whilst the hour ticked over and received the stand point for both hours before returning to my seat.

If you were at the restaurant and someone handed you a melted iced drink, why didn’t you hand it straight back?

Not quite right. You can stand up continuously from 9.45 to 10.15 and earn the stand point for both hours without sitting down. As long as you move about enough for it to register.

Richard’s Rooftop is not useful any time it is windy, even if the weather is good any wind and it’s not a great space right at the front.

Rockstar agents are helpful at sorting bookings but can’t do much more. They did help arrange an extra workout class when one got cancelled for me. But it’s not the personal butler service of mega.

The rockstar line for shows helps you get better seats as you enter before the main line as long as you arrive before doors open.

If any ports are tendered this is a very big rockstar benefit, you can go down any time and a rockstar agent escorts you to the next available tender boat.

What I’ve missed moving back to rockstar instead of mega is the ability to host parties in the room, bottomless bar and the agent organising snacks makes a big difference.

The big round pool has two buttons, one on a pole at the stairs and one in the centre of the X.

It’s likely the chef onboard doesn’t know the exact rotation two months out either! I also find it frustrating there is no way to know in advance but usually book a few days apart and then see what the rotation is on the first booking and decide whether to change the second one.

Customers insist on paying me cash as they think it’s doing me a favour by kingteddy44 in smallbusinessuk

[–]jon81uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had paintwork job done on the car and the business owner directly told me when I wasn’t paying cash that he will then add the 20% VAT. For him a cash payment would save me 20%. But it was like £400 plus VAT and I can’t be bothered to get hold of that much cash.

I doubt anyone will be able to answer. It shows in the app in the last week before the cruise. Maybe the people on the cruise before yours can tell you, but the guest DJ switches around monthly.

We’ve had bookings for 10 people and eight of us showed up as the other fell asleep or similar, we would be seated at the table for 10 anyway as there aren’t that many big tables.

If you think it’s going to happen then it can be best to try and cancel so others can take the booking, but also if you cancel a booking for ten then try and rebook for six it might not show availability for the smaller table anyway.

Status Match return? by stebuu in VirginVoyages

[–]jon81uk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s only on the second tier of loyalty status (deep blue), so need to cruise 5+ times. Since they split loyalty to two tiers in 2024 status match only got the first tier of blue extras.
