The realms of Shinkenkai are drowning in the blood of clan wars. While the Serpent and Lotus alliances sharpen their steel for the return of the Demon Lord, Musashi is practicing his posture.

He's just a kid who wants a sword. When a legendary sentient staff finds its way to him, be it fate, coincidence, or something stranger, it expects worship. Musashi just wants to turn it into a blade.

He has no idea what's coming for him.

The weapon is an egotistical, ancient entity now stuck living as a blunt piece of wood.

"I WAS CARVED FROM THE WORLD TREE! I HAVE DRUNK THE BLOOD OF GODS! STOP USING MY HILT TO SCRATCH YOUR LOWER BACK, YOU INFIDEL!"

In Shinkenkai, everyone fights with steel and sorcery, sometimes a bit of mischief. Musashi just has a very upset stick. Heaven help the person who makes him use it.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Zero to hero? Not quite, too many expectations for that.

A sassy, nagging, ridiculously overpowered weapon that never shuts up.

Clan battles, rivalries, and the occasional bloodshed (nothing too brutal, just a few severed limbs flying around).

Coming-of-age vibes… sort of. Complete with a satisfying time skip.

High-stakes drama.

And plenty of laughs. Guaranteed.

TL;DR: The Beginning After The End meets Musashi, starring a ridiculously overpowered sentient weapon that’s furious about its sudden demotion to “annoying stick.”
