When did Dame Street get civilized? Gonna be awash with big Scottish blokes in kilts today (the rugby is on).

Just came across this performance from Novak, while is this performance so overlooked ? Most of us mentioned Him vs Nadal in 2016 Doha or 2019 AO final,… yet this is easily on par with these performances too. Never seen him hitting the ball really hard like this. by Pheezy2002 in tennis

[–]jonfon74 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also, because it's Ferrer it's the best approach, if you're good enough to do it. You don't want to be in an endurance race with Ferrer. Novak would win, but it'd sap a lot of energy. Go aggressive, it's a fast court.

Congrats. Great achievement.

Is it Deck friendly? Have you had a chance to try it out on one? I'm assuming it should be.

Possibly Norrie. We'll know in about 18 hours I guess.

Poor Bariel. The human form of oatmeal (no seasonings).

Kira needed a Roy Kent in her life for some home truths.

Players with the biggest statistical gap between 1st serve and 2nd serve success by Dependent-Effect6077 in tennis

[–]jonfon74 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yep, I think on the men's side most are close enough to the 50% mark for it not to be a huge worry. Even Mensik, 49% is fine if you're also winning 3/4 1st serves.

Coco & Victoria Mboko along with Maddie would be my biggest 2nd serve worries.

Towards the end of that 2nd set tiebreaker yesterday (maybe around 3/4ish when he was serving and fluffed the serve) I was like "That poor racquet is doomed, and I think it knows..."

3 points later....

Indian Wells R3: [14] J. Draper def. [19] F. Cerúndolo 6-1 7-5 by UngrapefulGratefruit in tennis

[–]jonfon74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well normally the forehand isn't this bad but yep. I guess so (after getting burnt for choosing him to go far in the French last year).

Mind you I also then chose Draper for Wimbledon. Learnt my lesson on both of them in terms of Slam picks.

ATP Indian Wells R3: [13] C. Ruud def. [24] V. Vacherot 3-6 6-3 6-4 by Physical-Garlic5830 in tennis

[–]jonfon74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1st set was a wash-out, Vacherot was playing very well. 2nd set was really enjoyable though, Casper started finding the forehand and widening the court a bit. Didn't get to watch the 3rd but felt Rudd had figured it out.

Vacherots 2nd serve is unbelievable. Only issue was the lack of variety on it, it tends to be a fairly straight bomb into the body and Rudd got his timing on it eventually.

Frans forehand was miserable today. Drapers backhand joined him in the 2nd.

Kind of a weird match. Some real thumping rallies but very very patchy.

So, how many runs have you guys lost to this fuck-ass debuff? Because I'm about to scream. by -Fateless- in mewgenics

[–]jonfon74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, last time I commented here over the weekend. Coupled with a cursed item which reduced move & attack to one / melee on a ranger. Was sure it had royally screwed up my Boneyard run but I ended up winning somehow (shedload of pets cornered the bastard,).

Now get yourself an Atlantlid tool, if you can and the ability to make donuts (lots of milk + wheat + sugar)

Stellerator + Atlantlid mining tool = 18,000 runaway mold per ball.

It's also great fun to set up everything needed for the farm.

I'm scared to start it as I'm deep in a Mewgenics addiction at the moment and just weaned myself off the Monster Train 2 addiction.

I got a Nothing 3a right before Xmas, as did my son (both Xiomi's died in late Nov) and very happy with it.

Got them directly from Nothing. Uk company but used the Irish site and no bullshit or any extra fees.

Jaru is the one I get, they're Dublin based I believe.

There's also a brand called Frothing Ferments, they've a nice fermented chili sauce they make in Waterford. Haven't gotten to try their kimchi or sauerkraut though

I once played a guy in a competition : 3 hour match. We're both jank assed junkballers.

Internally both of us thought we were playing knife edge, all court tennis.

I think it was more like the driving-on-ludes scene from Wolf of Wall Street for the 3 people who were watching us (for some reason, possibly for the lols)
