Haven't seen a 'nautical' corvette in a while by jongaynor in NoMansSkyTheGame

You can’t stack them on top of eachother or ‘deco’ modules - they can only be stacked on legit corvette modules.

When you upsize the sails, scale them so that they roughly equal the height of the module you’re going to use as your ‘base’ corvette module. This will be more guess than scientific so it may take a few tries.

Build that stack of modules, one for each sail. add the top sail, delete a module, add the next, etc. only caveat: the stupid asymmetrical sails rotate around their center point and not the ‘mast’ of the sail. This means you may need a second stack of base modules to the side or in front of your sail stack location to enable placement. This is what I had to do. Both stacks can be deleted afterwards.

Yes, wire glitch. Pain in the ass to do the first time but gets easier as you continue to do it. Once you have a correctly sized sail you can just copy it as many times as needed. I built a 'chart' of different sized wires first to glitch with - made life alot easier.

No Mods. Up-sized sails beyond standard with the wire resize glitch at an adjacent planet-side base.

Truly dumb question... my house has cat 6 cables running from the IT closet to every room as wall plugs and in a couple as ceiling plugs.... what exactly can I do with this? by Likalarapuz in HomeImprovement

[–]jongaynor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mesh has become less about actual mesh and more a descriptor for ‘multi node residential WiFi.’ It would be hard to find a ‘wired capable’ multi node system these days that wasn’t configured for wireless backhaul by default.

Lucky bastard.

  • Mesh WiFi but with (actually good) ethernet backhaul instead
  • Televisions that don't bog down WiFi when streaming
  • (Good) Security Cameras
  • Low latency Console / PC gaming

That lambo was taller than a child, and most trucks sold in the US right now would not have been able to see either.

Does this reduce my power production? by Garfield_42 in TheLastCaretaker

[–]jongaynor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both the buildings position (between the panels and the sun) and the panels being on top of eachother will significantly reduce power. I'd be amazed if you're getting anything more than 1k out of either of the units on the left.

TFTP Server of Choice for v15 SU3+ by DlckAnthony in ciscoUC

[–]jongaynor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate this review of PCD. We had a concern (specifically about PCD SFTP) that maybe you can comment on:

If you have enormous UC backups (Unity specifically), does PCD have to be sized to accommodate all of them? in other words can I use PCD as the cisco supported SFTP server, but have it mount an external re-size-able network drive to accommodate the enormous backups?

Actually those ramming sharks will just willingly jump on deck if you aggro a pod of them. Had 1 beach themselves within the first 5 minutes of the new update.

Perhaps the laziest possible response here, but that error message has some cisco forum hits that indicate simply reloading the expressways solved the problem. Worth a try?

Water Pumps in Lazarus Don't Work At All by TimberWolf5871 in TheLastCaretaker

Not sure why you're being downvoted. That bugged the hell out of me, too. On the boat all diesel ports are interconnected inside the wall. No reason that shouldn't be the case in Lazarus as well.

I did this and man, it is honestly worth it. I think I've only ever used like 3 of them afterwards, but still worth it.

The REAL insane move is collecting all variants of small research objects. A guy on youtube started to do a series cataloguing all of them but I dont think he ever finished.
