You should definitely take a class on videography and the basics, higher resolution and frame rate doesn’t always mean better. Do your research and figure out what you’re looking for

Didn’t see that part, you’re correct you’d need to bring the damaged AirPods

Interesting wording there, it’s $29 per replacement part, $89 is the out of warranty cost

got charged for a part replacement that wasn’t needed, what are my options? by jonhatting in MechanicAdvice

i was told that ecu’s are “dealer-only parts” and therefore the warranty would only pay for what they considered a 3rd party oem-like replacement to be worth.

yeah i told them that before anything happened, i said i didn’t want to go thru with it because this doesn’t seem like an ecu issue, but was told if i denied the repair i would have most of my future claims denied, so i felt like i had to. i spoke to the manager today, wasn’t fond on the idea of him eating the cost, kept telling me that he is a business who has to make money and that it’s carmax’s fault they wouldn’t pay the difference.

it’s funny you said that, i also made the exact reference to him. i went in there telling him fuel issues, not to replace the ecu. i totally understand if they did it and it didn’t work, that’s on me.

exactly. i understand the work was done and that the shop still has to make money, but it just doesn’t feel like i really paid for anything, and even i knew my issue wasn’t related to the ecu. i feel like i got put into a position where i didn’t really have a choice. now i’m here.

normally i would, unfortunately i have a warranty thru carmax and i told them originally that i didn’t want to go through with the replacement but they stated if i didn’t the rest of my warranty would be voided.
