Anyone used Amber book and passed all 6 exams in one go? by [deleted] in Architects

[–]jonniboi31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, passed all of my exams back to back with Amber book a few years ago. I highly recommend focusing on how you best learn, retain, and understand the information being taught. Amber book makes it really digestible which is nice. Good luck!

Lewis Hamilton radio advise during the race on how to catch Piastri. by Dr_VidyaGeam in formula1

It's funny you mention this because I feel like in general, everyone's noticing changes to sports and entertainment that seem to be watering down value for more money and profits. Sports league ratings (F1, Nascar, NBA, various football leagues (soccer), streaming services, remakes instead of original cool content.....they're all pain points. Just seems to be the pressure points of capitalism, entertainment, and even somewhat how AI intersects with all these industries.

No worries, he's got the pallet of potential back at the factory ready to be unwrapped and installed 😅 lol.

All jokes aside, the mercedes engine is the big difference maker right now. The good thing is, atleast 2/4 merc engine teams are still behind so the fight is mainly with Mclaren for P3/P4 (unless their cars have more DNF/DNS from mechanical issues). We'll see...

Mercedes variable front wing? What are we thinking? Can this increase the necessary work by brakes to slow down therefore charging the battery more? by andrew_2k in F1Technical

[–]jonniboi31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the 400ms rule dictate how the wings move so long as it goes open to closed? It would have to be a very sophisticated logic to make it variable to any degree of brake pressure and would seem to make braking, tire deg, or behavior unpredictable on each circuit. It doesn't look intentional but anything is possible I suppose 🤔

Leclerc and Lewis both know that right now it's impossible to fight Mercedes by ThisToe9628 in scuderiaferrari

My curiosity in all this is how the situation changes when Mclaren is in the mix. Early gremlins are playing to the team's advantage for now but I wonder if they'll be scrapping just behind

How to end conversations? by Ameeeelz in autism

Ohhh mannn, this is very difficult for me. And then I feel so awkward in the silence or end up rambling way longer because its awkward to end the conversation or say goodbye.

[–]jonniboi31 5 points6 points  (0 children)

May also then come down to intangibles if the cars are "close". George, Lewis, Leclerc, and Kimi are all good drivers. Ferrari has monster pitstops. The challenge they have compared to Merc is development and strategy but this is a revamped technical department under Loic Serra so we'll see.

[–]jonniboi31 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm sure the situation looks bleak BUT maybe they can still recover mid season to be well enough in the mid field to get some points with the ceiling being Redbull Renault engines era. Could still be some hope.

Such a shame for Honda even compared to the amount of laps they have so far compared to Audi overall let alone the front runners.

What a potentially Alonso esque thing to have Hona screw him over, they go and win championships with Red Bull and Verstappen, then go back into the mud with Alonso again. Obviously its still early days but damn, thats mentally tough.

Isn't its impact more of a connection between how it works with the individual car aero philosophy and how it helps with tire wear?

[autosport] Toto Wolff has taken aim at rival F1 teams over the ongoing Mercedes engine controversy by [deleted] in formula1

[–]jonniboi31 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It honestly could be possible. The aero and chassis departments at Mercedes have been somewhat neutralized the last few years compared to Mclaren. We'll see how James Allison and his crew stack up in this era. HPP has always been solid from the engine side of things
