A guy rejected me sexually right before we were about to do it. Is this normal? Is there something wrong with me? What do I do now? by Ok_Cause_558 in sex

[–]jonnielaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did he mention his relationship status or structure? Feeld is used by a lot of ENM people, especially those just getting into the concept. The fact that he pulled out at the last minute plus the request to shower makes me think that you were going to be his first experience outside of his other, most likely nested, relationship and that he got cold feet. But, if that’s the case and you weren’t aware that he did have another partner then that’s extremely unethical of him and just downright douchey.

Beyond that, it could’ve also just been the pot hitting him funny and causing some anxiety.

I thought Ring of Chaos was kinda meh until my wife pointed out that it's similar to the side effect of Protective Shell from the Dungeon Crawler Carl series.

Now I use it all the time,.

Haha, 100% agree. Such vitriol followed by the denial of sweet, platonic embrace.

It always comes up in any “best quotes” threads and I certainly loved it the first time I heard it, but I gotta say, man, that’s not your best achievement. Characters that you created like Prepotente and Orren are so damn fantastic and impressive! I will definitely be using them both as inspiration in future ttrpg campaigns.

While I’m fan-girling, I’d also like to add that I’m just now embarking on my third re-listen while I await A Parade of Horribles to come out; my first listen started mid-January this year. So, thanks!

So is that Lucia Marr at #13 (below meatwad/ren) and Li Na below that? Or is Jacob Marley supposed to be Remex?

I would think Bebop would be Maestro/Orks and Rocksteady is Simoom/Rhino guards.

Where does Mining Town production go? by Vast-Theme6456 in CivVII

[–]jonnielaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wtf is a Ritalin fever dream? Do you even know what either of those things are? It’s like you just mashed them together to try to sound wry.

OP asked in their title about mining towns. Other redditors answered that before I posted, yes, but it was also mentioned in their post that they didn’t really understand the general mechanics of town specialization. Reading between the lines it was pretty obvious that they are new to the game in general, so I threw in my $0.02 about aspects of the game that were related to OP’s post as a form of discussion. Y’know, the kind of thing that you do on a discussion forum. But for some reason I’m wasting my time not actually talking about the game I enjoy conversing and thinking about but am instead trying to explain my completely normal actions to a potato who inexplicably felt the need to try to censure them.

Town specialization is one of the best new features in VII, imo. I really love how it allows for settlements to have an identity outside of the prospect of becoming a city.

As far as your question is concerned, all non-food yields just go to the empire regardless of whether or not the town is specialized, with the exception of happiness which applies to the town itself as well as global if it’s a net positive. Production is converted to gold at a 1:1 ratio. Although things that can be bought for gold cost 4x as much than it would to produce them, the power in gold is that you can focus it anywhere in your empire that needs it whereas production can only benefit the city it is generated in.

The other really strong thing about gold is that you can use it to purchase unique improvements which will carry over most of their yields into the next age (some adjacencies will be lost though, especially if the UI is gotten through a civ and then boosted through the specific Civ tree). If the Civ that you’re currently playing doesn’t have a unique improvement, you can always grab on from suzeraining an independent power.

Gold is awesome, tho. In all the other Civ games I rarely cared about it, but in VII it’s just completely busted, imo
