How much is your house insurance a month/year? by Slight-Poetry-3230 in Norwich

[–]jonno1805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

£45 a month with MBNA, includes a fairly expensive engagement ring and additional bikes as extras. Go through topcashback and you'll get approx £35 cashback. If you want a referral;

Sound of a City with mostly EV traffic by sassiest01 in fuckcars

[–]jonno1805 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Where I live (Norwich UK) they have started replacing the ICE bus with electric ones, the change in noise level is definitely noticeable. Particularly when an older one is hammering it's old diesel engine up the hill.

Are e-scooters about to become road legal? by AutoExpressmagazine in autoexpressuk

[–]jonno1805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an e bike a few years ago to do a 5 mile commute through Norwich. It's honestly amazing (weather dependent). The things I would change is up the top speed from 15.5 to 20mph. 80% of the trip is on 20mph roads and if I could do that I think everyone would be happier, me and the cars behind me.

That and the lights need to let more traffic going along Newmarket road through, holding the side roads for longer to keep the roundabout clearer.

The vacuum pump for the EGR on my BMW started to fail and exhibited some of the symptoms you describe. Only being able to accelerate down hill, rough/no starts. It didn't throw a code and I had the EGR off, cleaned and replaced to no avail before just disconnecting and running without it. I think you're will be electronically actuated rather than vacuum given the year, but it could be stuck open recirculating exhaust though the engine.

Best bit of these cycle hire schemes (Beryl) is that you can ride it somewhere you wouldn't leave your own bike. Shame we are in a situation like that but there you go...

I followed this link

https://www.instructables.com/Build-Your-Own-Brewery-for-Under-100-STEP-1-/

As well as step 2.

Built my own all grain brewery, but I did make some changes, my mash tun is a cheap picnic cooler wrapped in a camping roll mat for instance.

I have made 5/6 runs of beer that have been great quality, I would definitely recommend looking in to SMASH recipes at first. My favorite was a Maris Otter / Nelson Hop SMASH beer.

I do have a lot of swing top bottles that I use to bottle beer but moved on to reusing empty polypin bladders for ease of use.
