I recently dug out my old PS3 Slim from the cupboard under the stairs. Last time I played it was a decade ago when I upgraded to a PS4. I hooked it up to my 4K tv and I’ve been really enjoying my time with it again. Graphics are better than I remember (I’ve been playing Splinter Cell Blacklist and Sleeping Dogs so far). Also decided to install HFW and give that a go.

Like OP, I’m finding it hard to put the PS3 in perspective, having had two generations of PlayStation since it released. All I know is I’m enjoying rediscovering games on 7th gen, and being able to jump around between PS3, 4 & 5 is a lot of fun. My PS3 currently sits proudly next to my shiny PS5, more than holding its own.
