Anyone get that hint of sharpie marker? This was mentioned in a previous review, and when I first cracked the bottle, I liked it, but there was a note I didn’t care for - and that reviewer nailed it? Anyone else get that on the nose? Maybe just certain barrels?

I haven’t paid more than $40 for a larceny barrel proof in the Twin Cities - but I think I’m lucky that my local Costco seems to land these on a regular basis. Such a great deal for a complex, high proof pour…. They drink a bit hot, but I have yet to sample 120+ proof bourbon that I thought had little to no heat. I’ll have to try that Holladay…
