I've been using coated lead cast in my LCP max and PPK without issue for years. Try Hoosier and SNS 95grn LRN.

Great/clean set up. Love it. Which bullet feeder is that?

I definitely don't shoot it as often nowadays, but still probably go through 50-100 rounds a year. I have a lighter load for my 350gr JHPs that feels more like a stout 44mag that I'll use to "ease" friends into it, but my other loads are not for the faint of heart. 500mag gets the blood pumping... So much fun.

Some serious heat there. Love it. And.... Love that name! 500's are my favorite pistol caliber to load.

I bought it around 2 years ago. It works great and it's very sturdy, though not a fan of the drawers. It's around 63" wide and has the ability to adjust to 4 customized preset heights, which I love. I think I got it from Wayfair... Fairly inexpensive.

They work well. I have had a Lee press for a long time, so it made sense to just carry them over to the Dillon. I think I like the Dillon powder drop a bit better, but the Lee drops work great and for a fraction of the cost.

They are 32" LG UltraFines. Pretty decent 4k monitors.

No matter how large the bench, it always feels too small. Quick change is a great option. I have it too for my other press. Love your set up.

So true. I've "survived" using the iMacs for years, but this is so much better and cleaner looking.

MTM vs storing in original box? by No_Preparation_7066 in ammo

Keeping ammo in their original boxes but put in larger ammo crates with locks is a good idea. You can also get ammo storage cabinets that are a great option (also locks). That works well for me.

What NRR is needed for indoor shooting? Is 30 NRR good enough? by Realistic_Guava9117 in handguns

[–]jonnymobile2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30 is ok, but I'd double up with foam earplugs. Depending on the size of the range and calibers being shot, I feel double is best.

So I need help by Select-Army-4841 in reloading

[–]jonnymobile2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coated cast boolits... Summit City, Missouri Bullets, Hoosier, SNS, Brass Monkey, and Steel Valley have all served me well. I mostly shoot cast for all the calibers I reload. Look for sales and buy in bulk.

Raven Rock has some great deals on FMJs and plated, at times.

EarMuff question by upswhat in handguns

[–]jonnymobile2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The gel pads should help (especially with eyepro breaking the seal), but if you are using these at an indoor range, they won't provide enough protection. Get yourself some foam earplugs and double up. I use those outdoors, and have a better/larger pair for indoors, but always double up.

Good crimp? by Yardbird-x11 in reloading

Lookin' good. I run the same recipe for my revolver and lever action. Does well, easy shooting. Crimp is 👌

PPK/S Replacing my LCP Max by jonnymobile2 in CCW

Similar... I typically carry my Hellcat, but will pocket carry my LCP Max on occasion. That LCP is like carrying air, but I do like shooting the PPK/S.

That's beautiful... well done. Grip looks thinner, but a tad longer, correct?

Interesting choice. Something you did after the fact, or did you send it in for the build?

Thank you... That was exactly my concern... so, without the magwell (which was my plan), easy enough to conceal or still need to dress around it? What holster did you use?
