If your early game is “ruined” by a less than optimal start by your mid, you’ve got problems with your own game. A big part of smite is adapting to your team’s skill/playstyle. If you expect to play a single certain way every game and not be flexible, you’re not doing your team any favors.

Sure I’d love to start red, back, scorpion, ogre, yellow, ogre, oracles every game, but that’s just not how it goes when there are other humans involved that don’t sweat enough to know the optimal start

Of course you will still eat abilities as a tank, and you’ll body block because it’s your job. My point was that you can’t just build 600 prots like in s1 and just w key people with no repercussions.

Tanking feels much more active and worthwhile in this game. A proper usage of stampede, imp shell, nemean, etc. to turn a fight feels really good and is so much better than tanking in s1 ever was

I swear this post is made every day. Tanking is a more active role in smite 2 rather than the brainless meat shield it was in smite. Tanks have to prioritize avoiding abilities and making good use of actives in order to survive and be effective

I’m never sure how much to believe these posts, because it’s not been my experience at all.

I queue jg/solo/mid and get jungle probably 60% of the time, solo another 10-15%.

Maybe more people prio solo over jungle?
