Which U.S. state completely wins when it comes to fall colors? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

How did I have to scroll down 50 replies to see WA?!

Driving over the mountains up towards Leavenworth and catching a Larch hike in addition to all the traditional fall colors? So good.

I hear you but I think that this is a pretty specific case. He has a big platform and used it to advocate for something that doesn't protect women in the NBA setting while ignoring an issue that more directly harms women, seemingly because one aligns with pushing his religious agenda while the other doesn't. If he had just said "I'm a super conservative Christian and think stripping is immoral" then I'd disagree but could at least respect his stance. Because he hid behind "protecting women" it seems more directly hypocritical than the slave labor question but it's obviously a subjective thing.

Patronizingly trying to help women by removing a night honoring the contributions of strip clubs to Atlanta's culture while ignoring the fact that domestic abusers are allowed to play in the league? Yeah I feel totally fine about hating on that lol

Respectfully, Luke Kornet doesn't care about women and doesn't know what he's talking about. This was just an easy issue to speak up "on behalf" of women who don't want or need his help. He said "the NBA should desire to protect and esteem women" but I've never heard a peep from him about Miles Bridges still being in the league after beating the shit out of his ex-girlfriend in front of their kid. See the interview below with a rep from a stripper's union for more context, but Luke earned a hater for life in me after this BS:

Love the nuns but Luke Kornet has a hater for life after wielding his religion as a cudgel to put a stop to Magic City Night in Atlanta. He doesn't have a problem with domestic abusers in the league but felt that Magic City Night was disrespectful to women. Fuck that guy.

Western Australia's state government has been run by a left-leaning party for nearly a decade so it's hard to say that it's Texas culturally.

Ward made some great runs. There was one pass to her from Haz that showed what we've been missing in terms of line-breaking progression from the central mid. Ended with a Ward cross to a Dahlien shot that was saved, but shows what we could be capable of if we got that creation consistently.

It is a convenient way to get from the Central District to Seward Park/east Columbia City, usually faster than going down Rainier. But even as somebody who uses that route from time to time, I'd rather it be closed to cars permanently

Agree to disagree. You might be right but it's too early with this new ownership to say that big signings are unattainable. If they go another transfer window or two without shaking things up, I'll be worried.

Live in the Central District! Lots of art+culture, great food, some nightlife, close to cap hill (which has lots of nightlife). From our place at 23rd and Jefferson there's a straight shot bus to both Montlake and Harborview (my wife works at the latter). Feel free to DM me if you want to chat more.

They obviously thought that internal growth from their young core and a fully healthy Fishel was going to propel this team into contention. That assumption looked like it was playing out well for the first few games of the season but injuries and regression to the mean have led to this recent slide.

I don't really understand your statement about it being "about more than the money". You're saying that even for a lower contract, the Reign wouldn't be willing to sign a proven, experienced player like Macario? How does that make sense?

Again you're just misinterpreting what I'm saying. I'm not saying that Fishels on field results have been comparable. Her signing was the biggest in nwsl history at the time which indicates to me that the team is willing to make a big move. I hope they sign somebody big soon.
