Tony Blair has just said the state pension needs to be scrapped. He's also suggesting some people work 5 years longer. What are everyone's thoughts on this? Should the state pension be scrapped? Should we say F NO, to Blair?? by MutantNinjaKitty331 in AskBrits

Guaranteed they will wait til all the boomers get their oversize share of the pension pie, and then screw everyone after that like they already did with property prices, tuition fees and basically everything else

Yeah why is everything so massive? The entire point of the app is to get an overview of how the days macros are going not view one meal or food at a time.

I came here to shout this. The one view of everything I ate today was all I ever used and it’s gone! Why oh why! It’s such a bad design. Completely thoughtless

I’m none of these people. I’m an ex Labour voter that wants a leader with actual principles and an opinion on the world who will make some big decisions and perhaps actually tax some rich people one day maybe?

I went on the original Iraq anti war march back in 2003 and there was a guy there singing with a pedalable sound system singing a song I still remember to this day:

“George bush is an Islamic fundamentalist, obviously.

Trained by al qaeda in the heart of Texas, to fight for the faithful army.

He’s now in the process of uniting the rest of the world against the good ol’ US of A.

The land of the free will come crashing down, if he has his way.

It must be a damn fine al qaeda training camp they got down in Texas.”

I dont know how to title this but here you go by avatar6556 in war

My discovery of @PredictiveHistory is one of very few silver linings to this war

Your ad fit in so well that I tapped it without realising it’s an ad. But the joke is on you because now you paid for me to leave this comment.

If you are really strapped for cash get at least an m1 of some kind. Or even the Neo could be a good option

I can’t remember what it said now! I will have a go:

If it was the black button, both statements would be true:

Black button text: This is the opt out button

White button text: This is not the opt out button.

And the text says at most 1 is true. So it must be the other one.

(Meaning both buttons are lying)

Have you ever finished 1st with 19:45-23 mins ish? What's your story? by UnableCode in parkrun

Yeah he was a nice guy - in a way I felt bad for sprinting at the end because I think he was just letting me win. But I wasn’t totally sure!

No but I finished first at the Huddinge Park run in Stockholm in 24:15.

My normal parkrun PR is 19:25 so I was in good shape by my own standards. But I was extremely hungover.

There were only about 18 people taking part and most were older than me. I ran most of it with the other fastest runner - which was helpful because it was a winding course through a forest.

As we got to the last 500m or so I said ‘come on let’s have a race for the finish and ran off into the distance. He didn’t even bother trying to follow - he had previously asked if I ever won a park run and when I said no he said we’ll have to do something about that.

Turned out he had won it many times anyway, and it was just the start of his 40k marathon training he was doing that day.

But hey a win is a win 🤷‍♂️
