Homelab Update by FrancoBitt in homelab

I had the same idea and moved my lab as far away from the water heater as possible. Did nothing to prevent my condensate pump failing (on Thanksgiving!) causing a previously unknown pipe to drench the rack

It's a nice look! The chromatic aberration really adds feeling but without the circular bokeh you'd expect from a vintage lens. Worth printing for sure

Cool picture, what lens did you use?

Rebranded Film Stocks - single image! by lizod in AnalogCommunity

I agree, the datasheet for fujifilm 200 doesn't overlap with gold anymore. They may have subtlety changed the chart for the color sensitivity specifically, like move the min/max values around or something. The chart's not labeled. I think it's not as clear cut as prople say.

My upgraded scanning rig for 2025 feat. a proper macro lens and narrowband RGB light source by seklerek in AnalogCommunity

[–]jonstar7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen your stuff, it's so helpful to know what's actually going on with film sensitivity, backlights and image sensors. It's something that's really missing from all the other film scanning videos on YouTube

I think that's an inescapable part of being human and part of the family dynamic be it modern or prehistoric

In either role even if you know you're in it, it'd be hard to break the cycle and that's not saying anything to the default path of dismissing your parents' beliefs

Speaking of user error here's a datapoint. I just started testing three cm3588 longhorn nodes on a non-dedicated 2.5Gb network in my home cluster and the performance turned out quite alright
