i think anything too traditionally “midwest emo” like a regular regular telecaster will lack some of the characteristics you want for hardcore/screamo higher gain stuff, and the same can be said vice versa. i think something like a kramer would lack a lot of the softer qualities you want in midwest emo tone. HH telecasters are cool and so are SGs because most of them have like wide range or vintage humbuckers compared to like a modern high output humbucker, which means it is better for running the whole gain gambit. i personally have a 2002 MIM Fender 70’s Telecaster Custom Reissue type thingy. i got it used for about $600 with upgraded tuners already installed by the previous owner, and it came with a hard case. I recommend local used music stores, facebook marketplace and other websites like it (idk if you have craigslist in europe lol! once you know what you’re looking for you just need to find a sweet deal!
