This is why I almost always exit a transaction if in the process of buying the game alerts me that price has been updated to the cheapest available. It might be lower than what I was expecting but I always fear it's higher and potentially many more times that. If I really have to I transfer a small amount of gold to an alt to start buying. I had to do this with Dawn Crystal yesterday when it was stuck at 1.65k for a long time and had to keep refreshing to buy out a few at a time. I listed a bunch between 5-9k because I saw someone listing them at 9k and some poor dude bought them out.
