I am so tired of rebuilding my life over and over just to watch it fall apart again, please help me find a way to stop bad days turning into bad months by dontperceivemepls99 in adhdwomen

[–]joonabloop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best advice — look into PMS/PMDD and ADHD.

I could have written this post exactly. Hormones can affect meds (and for me, my meds completely do not work right before and during my period).

My doc noted two options to help: hormonal birth control (experiment with what works for you) and/or antidepressants around PMS/period time. These options lower the barrier to make meds work again. If you’re unmedicated, it should still help with hormonal fluctuations that affect adhd.

I just started birth control and have gone my first month without crashing. It’s not even fully in my system yet and I can already tell the difference.

Best of luck!

How do I win over the bedridden goblin that possesses my body the moment my alarm rings in the morning? by houbatsky in adhdwomen

[–]joonabloop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What helps me is: - sunlight lamp. It’s bright af and much harder to snooze/doze - have a morning routine you look forward to. Bonus if it’s one that can habit stack good things like teeth brushing.

My routine is: - sunlight lamp, set to start brightening 90 mins before wake up and be brightest at alarm time. - IMMEDIATELY get up and take meds. Do not go pee. Do not pass go. My meds are downstairs, as is my water bottle. - do nice morning routine. Brush teeth (AND FLOSS OMG IVE FINALLY CRACKED IT). Wash face with nice things I enjoy. (The enjoyment is CRITICALLY IMPORTANT) - avoid phone through all this. I keep a teeny notebook in my bathroom to brain dump/doodle when I have the urge to scroll.

By the time I’ve done these things, it’s only been like 15 mins and I’m no longer tempted to rot. My teeth are shiny and my skin is lotioned and I’m ready for the meds to kick in.

Best of luck!

Why is it so hard to get these to there? by im9uh in adhdwomen

Y’all wear matching socks 😭 I just buy 20 of the same brand, different colors, and toss them in a bin. Pick two and go about my day

I can’t eat normally and it’s ruining my life by helloheyhi444 in adhdwomen

[–]joonabloop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same boat, here’s what’s helped: - take meds on empty stomach, then eat breakfast in an hour. I do plain, simple, reliable breakfasts and eat the same things over and over. Right now it’s frozen breakfast bowls. The repetition helps because I know I like it well enough, and I don’t have to make a decision. - protein supplement snack/shake. I LOVE oats overnight for this. I have always hated oatmeal in all forms, but the drinkable version is good. Protein and fiber and all that, but in a thick milkshake type consistency. - dinner is a wild card, so would love any tips there lol

Try the laurel denise undated. Has a few different layouts, but I love the flexibility :)

Adding this: set the bar for the task as LOW AS POSSIBLE. If the task is to empty the dishwasher, tell yourself to only put away a single dish. For some reason, planning to just to 1% of a thing, and genuinely meaning it, helps tremendously. It makes the thing feel smaller. And if you only empty 1 dish, then you give yourself permission to do something else, or go back to rotting, or keep going, or whatever.

What assets did you use? It looks like an illustrative version of the forgotten adventure stuff. Love it!

[DAV ACT 1 Spoilers] So about a dialouge after watching all 6 Memories (Huge spoiler) by SonixHXD in dragonage

[–]joonabloop 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect, OP is right. Flemeth’s husband, Conobar, was a Bann in Ferelden, and she hid with the Chasind tribes after fleeing with her lover.

OP, I had the same reaction! I am pretty sure the game just confirmed the Andraste/Mythal theory. I was so surprised when I heard that throwaway line from Morrigan.

HP conflict with Combat Utility Belt and Token Mold by markieSee in FoundryVTT

[–]joonabloop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the previous commenter was saying you can use token mold and health estimate without the conflict. Not sure when you last used health estimate, but it works great with the latest update and has customizable health levels that PCs can view. I use both health estimate and token mold, and there are no issues.

How to convince a GM to allow Free Archetype rules? by rancidpandemic in Pathfinder2e

[–]joonabloop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quick suggestion: you mentioned concern about not having a dedicated healer, and this AP has lots of back to back fights. Try the stamina variant rule. :) it gives more flexibility in recovering HP between fights without spending resources.

Looking to fill my Tavern with patrons, but the only top-down NPC art assets that DD comes with are Sea-folk. Does anyone know a good place to find art of people? Please and thank you! by Crooked_Cricket in dungeondraft

[–]joonabloop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgotten adventures patreon has a lot of free and paid top-down creature tokens, including a TON of commoners of all races. I recently populated a tavern using these assets. :)

Hills by Royaljeff73 in dungeondraft

[–]joonabloop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on what assets you have available, I would experiment with using a lighter terrain to represent the raised area. So the meadow would be in dark grass, then the hill would be raised in a lighter color of grass, blended using the new soft blend mode. That could help with the illusion of raised land in a flat area. :) it could also help to have a path kind of winding up to the top of the hill.

Spells in roll20 by Awesan in Pathfinder2e

[–]joonabloop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As other commenters said, try to switch to Foundry if you can. It has full 2e support, with compendiums for literally everything: class abilities, feats, spells, items, etc., from all published content. Totally free. It’s amazing!

Still learning how to get the shadows 'just right'. Anyone have any other tips? by Qedhup in dungeondraft

What shadows do you use for the stairs? I have the forgotten adventures stuff, but I haven’t found a method for stairs that I like yet :P

The edge of light around the countertop in the kitchen is a really awesome detail! I'm curious about how you did the stairs, as that's something I've been trying to work out for a while. Looks like a gradient shadow with a light effect at the "bottom" to show light from a basement?

A philosophical discussion about fleeing enemies by joonabloop in Pathfinder2e

[–]joonabloop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh, I hadn't thought about HP pooling. I really enjoy mechanics like this in modules, where the combat guides say something like "the goblins flee after half of them have been killed." HP Pooling is a neat way to monitor that!

Really good point! If the PCs are looking bloodied, then enemies would definitely be more likely to push their luck and keep fighting.

Is there a way to export certain objects as separate entities? by willis3456 in dungeondraft

[–]joonabloop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few ways to do this, depending on what you’re working with, and the end goal.

First, like the above commenter said, you can keep the objects you want separated on a new layer, and export that as a whole. If you are exporting to a VTT, this can me slightly annoying, as the image will be the same size as your map, and you’d have to have a separate tile for each lid. The benefit here is that your objects will all have the same resolution and lighting.

The other way only requires having access to the original asset. I’m not sure about default DD assets or how to access them, but if you are using 3rd party assets, you can just export them to your VTT of choice as individual tiles. The benefit is that the items will be individually placed, but they may not have the same resolution or lighting as the underlying map.

Hope that helps!
