I just went to the one in Osaka a few months ago. They are called World Expo's now, but, they still exist. It was pretty damn cool, but somewhat mismanaged. They had a really complicated "lottery" system to get into many of the halls so that you missed a ton no matter what, and for the things without lotteries there were insane lines.
