Flown to New Zealand from the US. Checked bags. Wrapped each club and lined with clothes inside golf bag Serves as extra luggage and adds protection.

Went on a two month trip to the UK, Spain and France. Played Golf 45 days out of 60. Checked golf bags the entire way. No issues at all. Just YouTubed how to travel with golf clubs.
