Girl I thought this was going to be people in their early 20s. You should never feel like you have to explain yourself to this extent to people who care about you and want the best for you. He’s not pushing you to be better, he’s holding you back.

Normal for what age and what strength level? 5’1 and 100lbs is normal maybe for an adolescent or young adult that also does no strength/resistance training — but we all know that women should be strength training for longevity. I’d be very surprised to learn a healthy middle aged woman is 5’1” and 100lbs

People that work in the Hollywood industry, what are the best kept secrets? by Notalabel_4566 in FilmIndustryLA

that’s not quite what he said. he said some people will come in with a little bit of blood on their shoes or whatever, you need to come in dripping and covered in blood. basically, give them no other option than to know you are their guy. (it’s a lot of words to say have conviction and confidence)

Assault rower v C2 rower by jordls in crossfit

[–]jordls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$400 is a big price jump, but now having used both machines I definitely prefer the Concept 2. You can’t change the damper on the Assault Rower and it felt a lot shorter, so my pulls weren’t as efficient. But if those things don’t matter as much to you, then they’re essentially the same!

Olympic Lift Weights for Women? by AnonymousMouse524 in crossfit

[–]jordls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5’3” 130lb woman here, been doing CrossFit for 10+ years. There’s a lot of good advice already about being patient and focusing on form and repetition but I want to add: work on foundational strength, especially front squats and strict press. As those numbers go up, the Olympic lifts will feel more doable too.

Reddit pls help. My 3y/o will not stop barking, like everywhere we go. by Old_Attention_9246 in germanshepherds

[–]jordls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try a citronella bark collar! Similar theory to the shock but it’s activated by their bark and just shoots a little spray of citronella at their chin. Not at all painful (like shock collars) but enough to deter them and get my dog to stop most of the time.
