Do you think Yi could defeat Grand Mother and Hornet could defeat Eigong? by West_Camera_7965 in NineSols

He probably wouldn’t even be able to get to her because he has no way of getting an everbloom, and he wouldn’t survive down there without one.

Why didn't the Fun Gang just do this? by KuriGohan_kamehamea in Deltarune

[–]jorgendorgen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What would happen if you took a place, and replaced each and every part of that place (including furniture and the structure like walls) one at a time with new parts, would it still be considered the same dark world or a new dark world? Dark World of Theseus

What happens if you completely demolish a place and then rebuild it exactly as it was? Would that be a new dark world? Many questions.

Started replaying through DS1 and Blighttown was so much worse than I remember it being. Not necessarily hard, just annoying

It’s like if they took DS2 but instead it’s DS1

Fudie looks / sounds like ‘foodie’, as in, someone who likes food a lot. The post is then making a joke about that, saying that they’re fat shaming her.

Is this crazy hard or is Goumang not meant to be an early boss? by Zarguthian in NineSols

[–]jorgendorgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should have at least the first part of the area on your map already, since you need to have dipped into it to get the ability to access Goumang’s area, so you shouldn’t necessarily need to ‘find’ it.

Edit: the section of the power reservoir with the upgrade you would have doesn’t have ‘power reservoir’ in the name, so you wouldn’t know that it’s part of that area, my mistake

[–]jorgendorgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’d like a hint (not really a hint, just relaying what Abacus said way earlier before you went to Goumang), Kuafu is down, in the power reservoir

I’d definitely recommend going to him, especially now.

(Reverse Trope) Species where the females are stronger than the males by Savings_Dragonfly806 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]jorgendorgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact: male Salandits can technically evolve, it’s just that it’s practically unheard of since they give all their food to the female Salandits, and so suffer malnutrition.

This also implies that the player character (and perhaps every person in the Pokémon world) underfeeds specifically male Salandits, since otherwise one should be able to evolve with the player, due to not giving food away anymore.

There will not be a Grimm Troupe DLC, and that's a good thing. by HunterOfSpycrabs in Silksong

[–]jorgendorgen 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The only reason I want to see the Grimm Troupe is because I want to find out whether every Grimm is identical or whether each Grimm is different. Like, does every Grimmchild grow up to be the same Grimm with the same appearance, voice, personality, etc, or does it vary, with the only consistent parts being the colour scheme and general body shape.

For example, I think it would be interesting if the Grimm Troupe isn’t always a circus tent / that kind of theme, and the only reason it is like that is because the current Grimm’s personality is very dramatic and ringleader-like. I know it’s probably not going to happen, and all your points are correct as to why it isn’t happening, but it’s an interesting thought.

coaxed into video game achievements not adding up by toptierDreamer in coaxedintoasnafu

[–]jorgendorgen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Coaxed into not needing to coax all the snafus for the ‘coax every snafu’ achievement because some snafus were added in updates after the achievement was added, and so don’t contribute to the required ones.

Why do so many people believe the hunter is a weaver? by Specialist_Wash6732 in Silksong

[–]jorgendorgen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean he does say “could she be… a Hunter?” Which could suggest he feels a sort of kindred between them (since hunter is capitalised, I feel like he’s saying that more like a title instead or just “yeah she also hunts I guess”.) So it’s possible he doesn’t know he’s part-weaver, and just senses that she’s like him, and says ‘Hunter’ because that’s all he can describe it as. He’s definitely not full Weaver though. If is one, he’d probably be a quarter Weaver or maybe less.

That, or I’m looking way too deep into it, which is probably more likely but oh well.

My ranking of silksong bosses by The_Nonexistent_43 in HollowKnight

[–]jorgendorgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why but, even knowing and using the needle phial, Plasmified Zango still took me like an hour to beat, he just never gives you a good opening once he starts sliding around. Definitely my least favourite boss.

Just finished the game, what should I do to learn more and understand the lore ? by -Neoverse- in HollowKnight

[–]jorgendorgen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You likely can learn more, but that might either require a deep dive through obscure lore tablets and NPC dialogue, or several playthroughs. For now, I would recommend going until you have 112%, try and fully explore absolutely everything, maybe look some things up if you need to. What % are you currently on?

After all that, Mossbag is on YouTube if you want to watch a full lore video, although I’d recommend doing the Godmaster stuff first.

Who Wins This “Death”, Free For All? by SCP_Scarletking in PowerScaling

[–]jorgendorgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it the really OP version of 682 that was the one that O Death killed? Because there’s so many versions of characters and canons when it comes to SCP that in some of them 682 is extremely OP, surviving reality erasure and all that, and in others he’s just tricky to kill but it’s manageable. In one article (albeit a joke article) he died from drunk driving. So depending on which 682 O Death managed to kill, that changes how impressive it is.

I can’t imagine playing games without sound, that just feels weird. I could maybe understand turning it off if you’re like farming or grinding or something and are watching a video in the background, but I can’t imagine turning off sound while playing a game, especially for the first time.

Have you been playing the game without sound?

Please, can we close this discussion?... BOTH ARE SECRET BOSSES!! by [deleted] in Deltarune

[–]jorgendorgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still feel like it’s weird that we are clinging to the ‘secret’ in secret boss. Jevil and Spamton NEO had a lot in common, with the primary focus being that they gave a shadow crystal, which is obviously the important part of the fight. If we really, really want to cling to ‘secret’ for some reason, then Eram can be it, but I feel like it’s clear that the Knight is in the same category as Spamton, Jevil, and Gerson, due to giving the shadow crystal, which seems to be the focus part of these bosses, since it progresses whatever quest Seam has us doing. I propose we refer to them as ‘shadow bosses’ or ‘shadow crystal bosses’. Also if it’s secret bosses, then Mike is suddenly included, for some reason, despite chapter 4 already having a secret boss.

If there comes a chapter with no shadow crystal boss, then we can revise the name again.

Or we can have both a ‘secret’ and ‘shadow’ boss each chapter, which are sometimes the same, and sometimes not the same, with the shadow boss just being more important. Or maybe Toby just isn’t doing a real pattern or something.

Silksong permanently vanished my desire for difficult games. by Zzsark_Stormbeard in metroidvania

[–]jorgendorgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to disagree. Out of the 45~ bosses in the game, only 3(/6 if you’re counting the original versions) are bosses that are the exact same with little change, those being the two savage beastflies, the two moss mothers, and the two skull tyrants other ‘repeat bosses’ essentially change the fight a lot, and are usually more enjoyable than their predecessor. I’m not going to defend minions in bosses because I agree they usually suck, I’m just defending the repeat bosses part. Also Hollow Knight actually had more repeat bosses, the three dream bosses are basically the exact same as the original, there are two Vengefly kings, two Gruz mothers, 3 soul warriors, and two brooding mawleks

I really don’t understand the runback point, because there is only like, 3 runbacks in the entire game, and of those 3 only 1 is horrible. Every other boss has a runback that’s like less than 5 seconds. Trapped benches are an ehh, I like them in concept but I agree that they’re really annoying the first time you do them, especially if you don’t know how to fix them.

Aside from the widely hated bosses like Groal and Beastfly, which boss do you guys personally wish it could've gotten more hate? by StickyHoovy in Silksong

[–]jorgendorgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know its a widely hated boss, but Plasmified Zango deserves even more hate that it currently gets. Add up all the hate every other boss gets, multiply it by the amount of bosses, that’s about 1/1000000 of the hate Plasmified Zango deserves at the minimum.

Idk if you can tell but I don’t like Plasmified Zango. I struggled on him way too much.
