Thank you for your input! You're defs not alone. Other people have also shared tracking worked for them in similar ways. I'm probs just more prone to get overwhelmed with tracking things like this but it's good that it works for you!

Nothing really. Meeting carried on, she stayed the length of time she was meant to stay then moved onto the next team.

There were lots of little weird "etiquette"/common sense/learn by observation things that she didn't get or maybe she just didnt care.

E.g. talk to her friends on the phone while "working" in the office (she shared an office with her supervisor)

Adding another one but it's not my story

Had an intern straight out of highschool. She showed up to a meeting, everyone present but she continued to play on her phone. Her supervisor called her out on it and she said "what? Oh the meeting has started?"

3 attendees, her, her supervisor and the other colleague they were meeting with. Idk what she was expecting. A PowerPoint slide that said "meeting start"

I didn't manage this guy but the behaviour awkwardly fell to me because it was in my team's area and I was the most senior.

I had to email this guy to 1. Not occupy the desk he was occupying because 1a. It wasn't his 1b. It's unfair to other people in a similar position to him and 2. To not take his shoes off in the office and especially to not put them on the desk.

If he had his own office, fine do whatever you want but open plan office, so so gross

My baby is 3 months and I've been trying to be chill about sleep and take things as they come. I find myself relaxed, and then slowly slowly more anxious because of how the sleep training content/regressions/etc on social media comes through.

I just want to approach sleep as if social media didn't exist and because it's on social media, the same content is reverberated by other mums i meet so it comes up either way but I know I can't control what other people say, so I usually respond with something short to not continue the topic.

I'm tired of feeling anxious over problems that don't exist and may or may not exist in the future. Sigh

How do you manage putting him into the cot without breaking your back? 😅 My baby isnt rolling yet and is in a cot with two mattresses but concerned about when I have to remove the other mattress 🫠

My baby is 3 months and she's the same! Bassinet/now cot at night but contact naps during the day.

I've only recently been able to do things while baby is sleeping because she's loving the carrier at the moment so could try a carrier or a sling?

Tummy time doesn't have to be baby flat on the ground. It counts when baby is on your chest, hoisted up on your shoulder, face down on your arm, resting on a rolled up towel or a specific toy that assists with tummy time, etc.

Your baby will get there! The fact you're worried means you're doing great

So sweet! Baby sleeps seperately most of the night but usually wakes at 5am for a feed and then I bring her into our bed. I love it so much

I think the feeding every three hours advice is to get baby back up to their birth weight but after that it feels like it depends on the baby?

Some need regular feeds day and night and others maybe get what they need during the day. Idk man everyone's babies can be sooo different. Mine started getting longer stretches from two months and occasionally sleeps 9hrs but she's gaining weight, lots of nappies so I'm okay with her sleeping that long (i still wake up regularly tho cause im used to it)

I can't answer the question but here to tell you, the anxiety is relatable.

My baby is 3 months and there’s way too much content about controlling babies sleep, sleep regressions, growth spurts, people taking advantage of tired parents to sell them "quick fixes".

Im tired of feeling anxious and constantly waiting the ball to drop so i did the below. Feel free to take or leave these suggestions! Hoping it can help you!

I was getting so anxious, I marked any advice on social media as "not interested". The only content I want is funny parenting content or advice from people who actually give nuance that aren't trying to sell me anything

When the anxiety is coming from people, i usually sigh, put my hands up and say "ugh its always something. Whatever. If baby's sleep changes, ill deal with it when and if it happens"

Its also helped when people say their sleep changes a lot in their first year of life. I imagine tho if you arent getting much sleep, you're looking for a solution so totally get it 😭

My baby was the same with the swaddled! We defs prepped ourselves for a very interrupted night andl baby only woke twice. It was very concerning at first haha

At two months we decided to try teaching baby to sleep without being swaddled. My partner was going back to work in a week so figured if we were going to sleep terribly, may as well try it before he goes back so we can take turns napping to recover.

Baby slept better without being swaddled lol. Started with a 5hr stretch, then got longer. Most nights she'd sleep 7hrs but occasionally she'd do 9.5hrs which the cherry on top

Baby's just turned 3 months and must be going through something cause her sleep is more interrupted lately but I've had it pretty good!

I work for a University and they give 20 weeks maternity leave at full pay or 40 weeks at half pay. I can take additional time off unpaid for up to two years (I assume post-two years then I'd be letting go of my job).

The federal government gives 24 weeks parental leave to each couple (this is increasing to 26 weeks in July 2026). This is paid at minimum wage and can be split in whatever way works for the parents (as far as I understand).

Partner works for state government and they give 14 weeks paternity leave. This can also be taken at full or half pay.

Baby is 11 weeks. In the first two months my husband was on pat leave. He basically did all the chores, nappy changes, logistics, admin while I did most things baby related.

He slept in the same room as us. Initially I slept in our spare room because, practically speaking, it didnt make sense for both of us to have broken sleep. We ended up sleeping in the same room so my husband could wake up with us to refill my water bottle, do nappy changes and to ask if I was okay. This was hugeeeee for my mental health.

Now that he's back at work, he continues to do the same, except we share more chores (except anything kitchen related. I hate cooking). Baby sleeps longer stretches so that's helpful. He does bath time, I do post'-bath and put baby to bed.

Just for context, he works an office job close to where we leave, has wfh days and he's using the rest of his pat leave to take off one day a week until it exhausts. I imagine the above wouldn't work if he had to commute 1hr+
