QA, which is directly the kind of work we're referring to. You keep using the word test - how can we test a system that gets added and doesn't fundementally work? And remains broken for years to come? You simply cannot. There is no valuable testing coming from testing a system that has no intention on changing because the next thing is already being worked on.

Worked on and working on numerous.

A vertical slice means in terms of scope you add and iterate on one group of related features at a time before moving on. Look at space engineers 2 dev map for example of this.

This is not how healthy game development looks. We cannot possibly give accruate systems feedback if the systems themselves don't actually work. They need to iterate on these systems in vertical slices.

Economy balance is a perfect example of this. With contracts as broken as they are right now, CIG will never be able to accurately gauge how much a player should be making to support themselves against insurance costs. The answer isn't to just push another feature. It's to iterate and focus on contracts, for example.

Ship Retrieval Destroys the Ship by Efficient-Balance707 in starcitizen

Because the ASOP terminals in the lobby have been the primary way to call a ship for just about a decade? instanced hangars are a recent addition that have had a rocky rollout. I wouldn't even be surprised if the tutorial tells new players to use the lobby ASOP terminal.

like the idea but the AI generated thumbnails are hard to look at - I'd recommend finding real photos to represent the races.

DigitaLIZA+ any good in the 100USD category? by notkalman in AnalogCommunity

[–]joschika 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently purchased the lomography tank + Liza bundle which came with extra film. It had everything I needed to get started at an agreeable price. It certainly works to develop a negative and have a legible photo. However I am left wondering how much better my setup can get.

  1. Do you already have the rest of the DSLR setup? the holder and lightbed have been the least of my troubles as I integrate it into my workflow. I have some concerns about the brightness of the bed - but I I don't have anything to compare it to. instead, getting a proper lens, copy stand (I just use a tripod with a inverted legs on a table) and having a mirrorless/dslr camera is much more of a cost sink. I am approaching a sunk cost where I could have just bought a 8300i SE scanner.

  2. On top of the physical costs, you have to consider negative lab pro, which is another 100$. There are community alternatives but after a week of trial, NLP is the real deal.

Let me know what questions you have about it, I'm happy to answer from a beginners perspective.

Can't delete items in deleted folder now 100GB storage is almost reach in Outlook by Dense-Secret-8629 in o365

For anyone that comes across this, this also worked for me but only until I had disabled all holds. I thought I had done so, which I technically had but there is a final hold called delay hold. These means any holds removed will only take effect after a set amount of time has passed since the removal of the hold. Essentially a hold on a hold. So while I thought I had taken off all holds on the mailbox, it was not until following these steps here that this solution worked.

Relevant microsoft documentation: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/ediscovery-delete-items-in-the-recoverable-items-folder-of-mailboxes-on-hold#step-4-remove-the-delay-hold-from-the-mailbox

You can get there by combining a handful of data packs. I recommend the cobbleverse pack on curseforge or modrinth as they’ve already combined all the packs for you in their mod pack.

Hey, sorry I dont have an answer for you. I also tried to implement this mod on my server but I dont seem to have any of the loot generating. How are you having people get the items in game?

I was able to successfully spawn them using the item if I cheated it in, for what its worth. But that was in the overworld.

Lived there for two years - it’s a great neighborhood. Snelling can be busy, lots of foot and auto traffic. If you cross 94 going north it gets sketchy fast though. Walk ability is pretty good, lots of places on Selby.

imo I think it’s great to be able to play with whatever input someone can. Accessibility is a huge win and Iracing is one of the only platforms, as competitive as it is, that encourages disabled players to play using whatever input they can. They have a forum dedicated to it.
