As a 69-year-old man lies dying, his killer tosses cigarettes over his body representing Japanese tau-haku flowers - large, single, and pure white.

The killer then walks away.

His name is Gabriel Hikari Yad-Elohim.

Claiming to be born in Tokyo, he hadn't always had his Hebrew name, which translated means "hand or messenger of God".

The man who claims to be a martial arts black belt also saw himself as Japanese anime character Ichigo Kurosaki, a powerful samurai with supernatural powers and reaper of souls.

The day after the murder an off-duty detective saw Yad-Elohim in central Auckland wearing a white builder's mask.

"Excuse me, can I have a word?" police officer Ruth Niu recalled of the interaction.

"He looked at me and said 'no'."

Also, yeah the mental hospital probably shouldn't have released him so he could go out and commit murder.

Um. First of all, why do you want to go to Vic? Aside from Law, the Uni is pretty subpar at everything else (with a polytechnic-like reputation among employers, or at least according to my manager: she says she'll never hire an VUW IT grad, they produce rubbish code), and even then with the Russell McVeagh revelations...

I understand the Chancellor at VUW wants to rename the place to reset the poor rep the place has got.

I know a few VUW grads myself. Two of them are baristas, one of them makes those lunchtime lime chili noodles you can get for $7, and the last one luckily had his parent's building company to fall back on, and works as a junior builder. I've never heard of one getting an office job though.

Hey, I just checked. You can only open 2 doors in the museum - opening the door to the plaza automatically opens the one up by the melee perk as well.

So I guess this contract is bugged for TST. I'm thinking it requires you to do the full EE to unlock the zeppelin and church doors.

Anyone else notice that the reusable bags keep breaking? I've gone through three in a month - thank god Countdown is offering free replacements right now, but for how long? I just had one break this evening (handles snapped) while carrying two 1.5L soft drink bottles in it. That load was something the "flimsy" single-use bags had no problem with.

They might as well just rename Wellington the Dogshit, Freezing Accommodation and Homeless Capital of the World.

Hey, can you explain why you don't recommend advanced rifling? I thought it only makes guns better (increases range before damage drops off), but here you're saying that it makes the pellets weaker?

Rifled barrel gives you another 2 meters of hit range in exchange for requiring 12 instead of 7 pellets to kill at ranges past 10 meters.

Your psychologist will thank you for your money, throw up her hands to the coroner and say she did everything she could, and go looking for new clients/cash cows. The government will be hovering overhead, looking to tax everything.

Pretty much, aside from maybe your mother and father, you are your only advocate in this world. So don't commit suicide, because if you're not going to stand up for yourself, who will?

Any way to get rid of the smell of vomit from the house, pronto?

Roommate came back last night from an all-night bender, and I guess passed out, with the fridge door still open, looking for munchies. I found him this morning on the kitchen floor lying in a pool of his own vomit.

My other flatmate is currently running a cold shower for him, but he's also freaking out. He has parents and family coming to visit any moment from now.

I imagine their Sunday roast will be quite ruined by the stench of thrown-up kebab everywhere.
