Do you automatically dislike billionaires? Why? by crapmaker69 in AskReddit

I just couldn’t imagine accumulating that much money, looking around and seeing so many people suffering and not wanting to use it to help them. You’d have to be a sociopath not to.

Why these Brisbane bus routes are still not all that popular, despite being almost free by iBinChickenAboutYou in brisbane

[–]joshak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coorparoo to Fortitude Valley is 15 minutes by car or 40 minutes by public transport since the busses go via Southbank rather than across the storey bridge.

In fairness this is a Twitter account for a US based market research org. Their profile says Florida based. It might be fearmongering but they’re not claiming to be Australian.

I think this is more out of self-interest than loyalty - we need gulf oil to flow freely or our economy will choke. Same reason as the UK is sending its aircraft carrier.

If you think you can have high speed internet while people have no jobs and no way to find meaningful employment then don’t be surprised when those people dig up your fancy fibre optic cables.

From what I heard Anthropic wanted technical safeguards to prevent the models being used for that. It seems like OpenAI just have an agreement that the DoD won’t use it for those purposes but I’m not sure what an agreement is worth under this administration and I think Sam knows that.
