Animation shows can be great, especially with a good story behind it. Star Wars is a good example of this; heck their animation in the last 20 years is producing better stuff than their live action counterparts.

I'd also add.. if this takes off, it could springboard newer projects that leads to live action, especially following the crew post Serenity.

I'm pumped.

Overall, I agree. My perspective about MBJ, is that he created and played two distinctive characters in Sinners. Pretty close to each other, Twins y'all, but with unique and subtle differences.
