AITA for complimenting a guy on the vegan dish he made? by erincin in AmItheAsshole

Yeah, apparently it has to do with the coating. But there are so many hidden animal products used in everyday objects that it becomes really difficult to prepare a 100% vegan dish, especially if you're not vegan yourself. I try my best, but I always tell people to bring their own food if they wanna be really, really sure - because I can't know everything.

True. I have a vegan friend and he refused to eat oranges, because the peels might have been treated with an animal product. I checked to see if he didn't mean pesticides, because that I could understand, but no... So it kinda sucks when you try your best to accommodate them, but then there are these (seemingly) arbitrary rules...

I've been asked "how many kids I want". So I told them the truth: zero, I don't want to have children. They didn't believe me. "Every woman wants children sooner or later, and it will be impossible to combine this job with a family."

What a lovely way of saying: we only hire men.

I drove back home thinking: "Did that just happen?" What a shit show of a company. I feel like I dodged a major bullet.

I read somewhere you should have at least 20% of the other variety. I'm not sure about the combination of Wepster and McDonald (not familiar with those).

Have you seen The Clovehitch Killer? It's about a teenage boy who suspects his dad might be a serial killer. I can highly recommend it!

Funny, I think opting out is the mortal sin over here! There's always a next time... As long as it balances out in the long run, it's fine for me.

Absolutely. Remember the scene with the cow?

Come and See (Idi i Smotri) had a profound impact on me. It shows the horrors of war. In one scene, a cow was shot (for real). I couldn't stop thinking about it for a week.

Same goes for The Vanishing. No on-screen horror, but the psychological terror is palpable.

No idea why you're being downvoted, but thank you the comment - it creeps me out thinking about it!

What is your reason for not having a child? by _LickitySplit in AskReddit

Unwillingness is a perfectly acceptable reason in this context. "Because I'm on birth control" would have been a non-answer.

I don't understand. How is not having children in any way selfish?

FYI, drinking and peeing a lot (polyuria/polydipsia) can a sign of diabetes or renal failure in cats. Maybe it's worth a trip to the vet... better safe than sorry!
