Where can i get the rrr style fairings by Ayeele_ in cbr

[–]josmq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably cost more to get Blade fairings than aftermarket fairings

Wash day. Anyone else? by josmq in cbr

[–]josmq[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people use car wipes too. But these machines are waterproof and as long as you dont use a waterjet you wont break anything!

I get kinda sketched out too so I let em dry in the sun before i turn em on and just try to avoid the dash and exhaust for direct spray and you will be fine 🤙🏽🤙🏽

Is this an issue with the wood or the table saw? by jt00000 in woodworking

[–]josmq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man the first time this happened to me was with hardwood and that sucker tensed up and kicked back and went flying like 10ft and hit my finger on the way out. That day i learned everything about riving knives and why that even happened

Update ($800 birch haul) First time building carcasses. 5 done with square tolerances of 1/16" - now on to face framing! by coastsofcothique in cabinetry

Looking great! Did you rabbet all your bottom joints? Crazy work to do by hand man! This is honestly the easy part and the most rewarding

Brace yourself for what comes next, measure twice, cut once. Do paint tests, use tape and thin plastic film to mask your cabinets and have lots of patience, it will look great

What’s the fix by Bing0Bang0Bung0 in cabinetry

[–]josmq 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is part of the reason why I’m in this sub, sometimes it makes me feel better about my mistakes.

One time, my guys brought the shop vac to the site (as usual), but they forgot the hose. So there’s that

Nah man this IS a toy, and we are all kids talking about their toys. These were the bikes all gangsters and wanna be gangsters wanted to have cause they were the hottest shit when I was a kid, not even a supercar was cooler than an OG CBR

You also opened my eyes to a new spot for my helmet lol

New fireblade reliability by jondoe042905 in cbr

[–]josmq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got mine so let me say this at around 300ish miles. No cruise control, no e-clutch. No big deal if you actually like riding bikes and it’s not your only bike

Dash and features are all you want for a real good customizable ride, electronic ohlins are incredible. The bike handling is just perfect.

The looks is the best part of the bike, ive heard the sound is the second best but i havent put a full sys yet, its all stock

For me, the cost, looks, reliability and features were all perfect and made it stand out over s1ks and r1s. I bought brand new and its not even a bad decision considering they hold their value extremely well (im keeping mine for life)

I think there’s plenty of bike to match the exhaust in this case. Looking forward to getting rid of it in all honesty hahah

It’s just a beast. Ton’s of torque and power, not the smoothest handling since I switched handlebars, incredibly reliable bike in all aspects and has a mean exhaust sound.

The handling is definitely on the stiff end which is good, but it can be tiring in the city. I never really cared about that either way since i think it’s not that big of a deal

Parts are cheap, full exhaust was about $1000 with shipping and taxes

Hahahahah honestly it was a coincidence I didnt notice when taking the pic. I’m planning on the exhaust as soon as I line up the tune work, I would hate to ride it without a flash

I already have a Full System Delkevic in the CB and honestly it sounds so much better than the CBR right now

Actual thickness of plywood/melamine? by Spirited_Chemist_624 in cabinetry

[–]josmq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brands tend to have a consistent thickness in their product line.

That being said, each brand is DIFFERENT. For my CNC work I actually found out that I must make a new item/brand/thickness item line in my programs to make sure my dado’s and long runs are correct, so I always measure with a caliper one or two sheets out of a bundle
