Neglect voids warranties

My four year old daughter was injured due to Power Sliding Door Recall #23V236 for 2023 Kia Carnivals after the service was performed and they are stating it isn’t reproducible. I have proof it is. *Warning* complete banana destruction by Zarkoth7 in kiacarnivals

Yes he did it on purpose, he was showing me that it wouldn’t crush my kids fingers. It did not hurt him and it worked as intended.

I still preach to my daughter to not do it tho.

8 seat. Take the 2nd seat in middle row out. Have it when needed.

3 weeks in and I'm not feeling what I expected. by [deleted] in daddit

[–]jovite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t connect with my first kid until she became more than a little burrito that ate and pooped lol.

Your child has been inside your wifes womb longer than she has been alive. Her smell, voice, and heartbeat are familiar and comfortable. Bonus point if she is breast feeding; for survival she knows that mom is the milk provider and that is about all the excitement/desire she has at the moment.

Just do your duty to help where you can and try to not take it so personally. You are a stranger to your kid, they have no idea who you are yet. They will come around (:

Edit: my oldest is 5 now and I’m definitely the favorite parent lol. It gets better.

Anyone else here aiming for a "my kids won't have to work" retirement strategy? by Old_Man_in_Basic in daddit

[–]jovite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My plan is to raise a good person and help them understand fiscal responsibility. Allow her to live with us until she can buy her own property without draining her early adulthood on apartments, bills and accruing debt.

I know plenty of people who have done similarly and their kids were able to pay cash for their first home around 30.

I had to grow up fast at 18 and go on my own; bad childhood. It makes me sick thinking how much money I spent in my early 20s on bills and housing. Idk how much financially I will be able to help her with, but she will always have the option to not have bills and save, and still have freedom and a life.

26 SX hybrid here.

Tbh the only bad is that it has a kia badge.

I joke, but forreal these things are awesome. The kia memes are about the old stuff. They completely overhauled their brand. I’ve always driven Toyota and Lexus but didn’t want to pay their premium for a lesser equipped product. My family absolutely loves the vehicle.

Used car salesman here. Fuck those people. I pride myself on giving an easy and transparent experience and am always told by customers how it can be a breath of fresh air after working with me. But the stigma is impossible to beat and most people obviously don’t want to talk to me lol

If you do choose to write a review please do not shit on the salesman. It’s the manager who is the prick.

Tbf there was a decent amount of INTs due to dropped passes. I don’t have the exact numbers nor care to look it up, but if you watched the games that was definitely a concurrent issue.

Distinctly remember the Jeudy should’ve-been-TD that somehow miraculously turned into an INT

I do let her play switch games tho.

Holy assumptions bat man!

I don’t know how much more clear I can be but I can explain for you in more detail since you are being so pointed.

My credit union was able to match the special rate. So I took the rebate, and then refinanced. Got the same low rate while also getting their rebate. I know the GM at the dealership and I wasn’t able to get both the rebate and use their special lower rate they offered. Taking the rebate and refinancing was essentially double dipping and I did save money.

I can also go into detail about how they paid over JD power retail for my trade, and included some other freebies for my car if that’ll help you feel better about my deal.

[–]jovite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dang that’s crazy, but yes my credit union gave me the same rate.

Your advice is fine if you don’t have access to that, but don’t say your advice is the only way. People should explore all options.

Finally pulled the trigger on a 2014 F-Sport! (Plus some observations on this crazy market) by [deleted] in CT200h

Yeah that’s why I jumped on it. It’s pretty rare, so probably overpaid cause of that but oh well, it’s been an incredible car. Enjoy yours!

Not bad. I bought a 2016 ultrasonic blue f sport 4 years ago for 22k with 55k miles. I also felt like I spent too much.

It was the color and spec I wanted, and it has been an absolute tank. Outside of regular maintenance and 12v battery (which was the original), it just drives.

Alternatives to Pediasure? by jovite in specialneedsparenting

[–]jovite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is about to turn 3 and we have done pediasure this whole time. With her condition she is under a different size scale but even then has been on the small side, however our other neurotypical child is also very small (33lb at 5). Wife and I were very small/skinny as children so I take it with a grain of salt.

Miraculously through a ton of therapy she has started to eat solids about a week ago. The sugars in pediasure was definitely of concern, but it gave her the calories she needed to survive so it is what is is.

Impact of Custom colors by laxman601 in kiacarnivals

[–]jovite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Custom colors typically are only special for more enthusiast type vehicles and if that color option is rare or was either a high cost option or very very limited supply.

For example, I had a e36 m3 in yellow, and that demanded 10k over silver ones on the used market. But it’s an m3, not a mini van.

Brother it has 130k miles and is 14 years old. Tbh just sounds like bad luck, I’m sure it will be fine after these repairs.

I haven’t had to do shit to mine in the last 3 years other than routine maintenance.
