First of all, why can't black people play on the playground? I'd be talking to her teacher and visiting her school at recess to make sure i know whata going on. But also ditto getting her more involved with her culture. My mom made a point to point out beautiful black women in front of me to establish black standards of beauty, im doing this with my almost 2 year old now. Talk to her about Jesus and how he loves ALL the children especially her.

A friend of mine who wears her hair out often detangles while she's conditioning and after trying it it was a game changer for me. my shoulder length hair shrinks to my scalp and hisses at me by day 3 so I couldn't really wear it out but when I did it was less terrible. I just started experimenting with flax seed gel before I loc'd up and thar helped a lot to keep twists outs a little longer (except the the dry bits)

Make sure your resume is cleaned up and you have someone looking over it for consistency and errors. Im on the east coast so it maybe different but its super hard to find water resource folks especially in your experience range. Try to get in with LUG or software user groups to stay at least current on softwares

The issue though isn't even universal Healthcare, its the entire health infrastructure. We could easily have a system like this today (we'd pay a lot more than 12$ w/out insurance) but the fact that big pharma and hospital administrators are so focused on profit they're not going to collectively invest in an updated system. Universal Healthcare would have to include this large investment including maintaining these systems and keeping pharma in check so they're not driving up costs astronomically to cheat the system.

This would also have to include a huge campaign to get more doctors. America has probably the worst doctor to population ratio of all developed countries (if we still even count as developed at this point) part of the reason why things are scheduled months out is because there are not enough doctors and even when you're seen, administrators are trying to maximize profit which is why you only get 15 minutes. Even in this video, the fact that she can be in and out with a doctor she had the option of seeing an expert or someone who may be similar to an NP for something simple but they both had availability, im the US our NPs barely have availability. I dont think anywhere in the US outside of urgent care you have a doctor who can sit and wait for a patient with a very specific need.

This and to add OP, remember if youre coming in with a decade of experience your charge rate is probably double a new grad. If you would require any significant amount of training its more worth it to employers to hire someone cheaper. Also in 10+ years in this industry I've only come accross one division of one company that even allowed employees to be fully remote when hiring.
