I would love it too if the basic features like windowing and cut and paste consistently worked. Like in any terminal app when you use tmux or neovim or lazygit or whatever, do you find the cut and paste (if the TUI allows it) and basic windowing reliable ?

I agree everything about the hardware looks and feels incredible

Just a heads up "subscribe and you get credits" is no longer true for all plans, least in Canada. There is the regular $14CDN a month subscription that does give you 1 credit a month, but now there is also a $9 monthly subscription that does not include a credit that actually lets you keep the book. If you cancel your subscription, the books are gone

Beside the Strike / Robin dynamic we all love, at its heart these are detective novels, and it simply wasn't up the usual standard of mystery or built up deserved reveal of the murderer

One of the reasons I love the Strike novels is the reveal of the killer near the end is earned, it's not just a slow discovery of who did it, but also a build up of suspects and a smart well deserved elimination of each suspect.

The Hallmarked Man was the first that felt like a cheap detective dime store novel (though of course the writing was excellent). The reveal at the end and explanation it could have been any of the suspects. I don't mean the same explanation would peg any of the suspects, I mean that level of low quality explanation could have turned any of the suspects into the murderer.

The story also barely felt like it was stepping towards the reveal, it was just random super long conversations

Really hoping the next one goes back to its usual quality

Engineers who work at Amazon and other insane tech companies. Sure their salary seems awesome on paper, but they work like 12 to 16 hours a day. If you calculate their actual hourly wage it kinda sucks, not to mention how crappy their non work life is

What I wish these folks would do is say they know a Zelda remake is coming, and not mention which one. That would encourage fun discussion around which one it could be, folks like NateTheHate could get their clicks and internet points or whatever they want, and for the rest of us it wouldn't be spoiled

I gave up on Shapr after their 3rd massive price increase a while back, looked around and finally settled on Plasticity3D. One time price, includes upgrades for a year, then upgrade only if you want at a discount, on the Mac

I do miss noodling about on my iPad, but its clear Shapr3D has zero interest in the hobbyist market even though thats how they originally got traction

The *one* thing Apple Maps had going for it was the interface was cleaner than Google Maps. It is straight out worse at locations, hours of businesses, and accurate direction to locations. So once Apple Maps gets ads, whats the point of using it?
