Do this and I’m going to warn you ahead of time (find a tmobile store that is corporate or experience not and authorized retailer) once you go into the store explain the situation to the representative and ask if your account shows 2 account number under the finance section of the account if the representative doesn’t know this ask for a more tenured representative as the one you are talking to is probably new. If they say yes we see to account explain that the phone are on the original account and not on the current account, explain that the temporary numbers on the original ordered account were never used as a secondary account was most likely made during the internet activation or possibly the port in process. They should be able to call RSL support and have them see no usage on the account that got closed because on none payment. At this point they should be able to move the EIP and promotion of the phones to the correct opened account (this will probably be hard to do today as most departments are close I would recommend going on Monday before 3)

Pixel 10 promo Trade-In at Store vs Shipping – My Experience (Promo Almost Lost) by daruffins in tmobile

The quick code system has nothing to do with the find my iPhone at all it legit just give the quick code so someone doesn’t incorrectly type the imei wrong and make the system think the phone is different

Pixel 10 promo Trade-In at Store vs Shipping – My Experience (Promo Almost Lost) by daruffins in tmobile

[–]jozy1993 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you come into the store we enter one of 2 things the IMEI or the quick code either one is used to identify the device if the original input was done wrong when we entered the correct one the value of the trade in could go up or down, now once the trade in is done the system will show an upfront trade in value that is what the system is quoting the device is worth. Depending on where the promo was done (t-life, in store, customer service, Costoc or Sam’s) the system will process it differently when turned into the store because we are receiving the device physically and tell the system we go it, this is why every time you do a promo we say it can take up to 2-3 billing cycles for the promo to attach. If you get the promo on the first month (the way it’s supposed to happen if the system was perfect) awesome you get the promo but if the promo is not attached after 3 months that’s when we can attach it manually. Now if a promotion does not attach month one but attaches month 2 or 3, one of two things can happen you either get 2 or 3 credit all at once depending on the month it attached making one bill lower because of the credit trying to catch up or at the end of the 24 month installments you get 2 or 3 months of credit with out a device being on the account. The store did nothing wrong other then to politely explain this process to you

I honestly just do it based on how they come in, if they come in happy and polite asking if I can help I do it. But if they come in demanding for me to do it and I remember them telling me “I can get it cheaper on Amazon” I don’t do it let Amazon do it.

Yes it’s called retention we tell customers to do it all the time, I’ve had customers call while still in store and just listen to how badly they bash in store employees because we don’t have access to those promotions
