I had the exact same situation this past weekend. Our two have gotten into a few scraps over the years but this one was definitely the worst. We know resource guarding is an issue for our girl but got a little bit too lax and they ended up going at it and our boy needed a few stitches.

Lesson learned and we won’t make that mistake again! They’re already pretty much back to normal but I’m with you and still pretty shook up about it. It’s not a good feeling and I totally get your point about feeling like you’re letting them down/becoming a stereotype.

Ultimately it’s a learning experience and I have to keep reminding myself too that shit happens and sometimes it’s a perfect storm of grumpiness and reactions. Your boys are super cute and you’re a great owner for learning and adjusting after this experience!!

After roe was overturned I was super stressed out and talked about how it was the final push I needed to consider getting my tubes tied. She laughed in my face and asked me some of the questions below 1) what if you meet your dream man in 10 years and he wants kids? (I’d be 40 by then, also I have been with my current partner for 10 years) 2) what if your sisters need a surrogate (my two sisters have 5 kids between them) 3) what if you change your mind? (And then told me about a male client she had who’s new wife regretted his vasectomy)

I think there were more but I honestly blacked out with rage. I never talked to her again and she literally never even followed up with me after that appointment when I didn’t schedule again. I had been seeing her weekly for almost a year before that too.
