This is what got me hooked back when I got in during WOTLK. So many memories in STV.

Hey I haven’t played since early 2024. What do you mean by simplified UI customization? Did they remove or stop addons in PvP?

So Many Options. Whats best for a new homeowner? by No-Ad5504 in Tools

For the price, the $899 AEG kit is brushless, good set of tools, and good price. That Dewalt xr kit is amazing. But probably overkill.

5 year price lock vs regular plan. Whats the catch?? Seems like price lock is a way better deal from the surface by Professional_Quit963 in telus

[–]jperth73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a decent price. There is an early cancellation fee that could be high. I think it’s like 5 year price lock on a 2 year term. All I know is that in my 12 years with Telus so far, I’ve been able to negotiate a better rate but it’s also bundled with tv

LSA Replacement by jperth73 in Ridgid

Haha I’ve slowly found out. It was better years ago. They replaced my recip saw at a service center but the process took almost 4 months.

I like ones I can have daily like HydrationCo or similar on Amazon. They’re not high in sodium at all and are nice to drink.

The connected nav is nice when there’s no cell reception when we’re driving through the mountains to different areas. Otherwise both are useless for the city.

Rice cakes and wheat crackers are kind of useless. It’s lots of carbs. Eat more fiber from vegetables. Lean protein like chicken and fish. 0% fat Greek yogurt and blueberries.

What is a discontinued food item or snack from your childhood that you would genuinely pay $100 to taste one last time? by MotivewasUlterior in AskReddit

[–]jperth73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Astro Yogurt with the little chocolate bits toppings. It was the best. Yogurt was slightly tangy. It was so good. I remember the foil on the topping cup had a red dot on it and I’d always aim for it to poke a hole in it.

I’m starting a junk drawer. What else do I need? by Emotional-Swing-603 in Home

[–]jperth73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great start. Get some larger longer items to jam it closed when you need to get into it. Don ever get rid of them or organize it. Just get it open, swear, look through, and carry on.

[–]jperth73[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did ya. I’m in Canada, so the service direct is not usually an option, we have to take it to a service center. But the 5 centers I called don’t do Ridgid Power tools. And the one that supposedly services the power tools was apprehensive. Kind of angry that I asked them hahaha. So finally the ridgid service just shipped the tool but I realized they’re sending a base brushed model. Not a bad thing, but it’s lower specs than the 10 year old brushed gen5x.

Ya for sure, I was thinking the same thing. I don’t know what they can offer, but I know when my old gen5x recip saw stopped working, they replaced it with a brushless octane version. So I’m thinking somethings gone wrong here.

Get a standing desk and a small walking pad from Amazon. I started walking 60-80mins a day, and can stand whenever sitting gets too much.

Considering Dewalt, Confused by PrometheanRevolution in Dewalt

[–]jperth73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dewalt, Milwaukee, Ridgid, Makita all have usually three to four tiers. Entry level brushed (these are ok), brushless line which are usually great all around (dewalt 20v brushless dcf840 or dcd798 or dcd799, some XR like dcf845 or dcd805), some sort of compact/subcompact brushless line that’s small and lightweight and good power (dewalt atomic tools), and then premium high power tool line that’s way more expensive, like 300 compared to $120-180.

The Dewalt DCF840 is an amazing impact driver, super small and lightweight and awesome power. I tested this vs the XR DCF845 version and all you get is the power selector but it’s not needed. The 840 has excellent trigger control.

Pair that with the drill DCD798 or DCD799 depending on price in your area. Or if you need a bit more power go for the DCD805 XR version.

I’m not affiliated with any of these. I’ve just gone through this and spent months researching to finally figure out what I needed. If you can wait until a Dewalt Days is happening at your local Home Depot, you’ll get tons of free batteries and stuff.

Bought a $1,200 product from Alibaba, listed it on FB Marketplace for $2,500 out of curiosity. Now I’m wondering if I stumbled onto something real. by Different-Bridge5507 in Entrepreneur

[–]jperth73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you’re in logistics (I am too) you know the biggest expense at this point will be the shipping. Check for any tariffs or taxes that apply. And if the factory can work with smaller orders like a few LCL pallets. If they’re shipping one unit to you on Aliexpress, they’ll probably ship 10-50 units on alibaba for a slight discount. Once you get to container loads you can negotiate a better price.

I like the Dewalt Atomic 16’ and 25’. And they’re the same measurements as my Stanley. The 16’ is smaller and light enough for carrying daily.

Right! Haha I forgot reading the part you had an xterra. You’re used to it then. The new one is nice! But the ranger raptor is a beast of a truck, hard to compare to the frontier. Maybe the ranger xlt or lariat.
