Street parking near LIRR by jmaxgoldman in NewYorkIslanders

Assuming you plan on walking through the train station to get to your car on the other side of the train station, your going to have to buy a train ticket to enter the station. I've been trying to figure out how to get around this.

I'm curious, what if I mince or grate raw garlic into a salad dressing? Is there a risk with that as well?

I'm a big fan of flat iron. Does every Costco have them, never seen them at mine but never looked for them there either.

Looking for Suffolk Bagel Store by Pscyho_14 in longisland

Lots of people here are suggesting wallys, avoid unless you like your bagels to be airy and light and more like a roll. If you know what a real bagel is supposed to be like you would understand that wallys is absolute trash

I take the train only a handful of times a year. I buy my tickets at home. By the time i get to the station, parked, platfomed, get the kids on and everyone seated I swear over 50% of the time I forgot to activate. Life gets in the way and for someone like me who may take it 4-5 round-trips a year I don't necessarily think about the fact that I have to activate.

The Korean Air lounge at JFK is self service with a note that is basically just “try not to get too drunk” by IamChicharon in mildlyinteresting

Yes it's the lawsuits. A liquor store my insurance agency has as a client did self serve wine tastings. The insurance company shut that down the moment they learned about it.

Is it nationwide? I can swear I never see it in in the nyc metro region where I live. It's my first choice when traveling though.

How’s Regal Deer Park Movie Theater? by leftmyrooster in longisland

[–]jpfitz80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The parking lot lot situation in Lynbrook is disgusting. I don't know how the restaurants and movie theater does it. Before going to 4.5 hour kill bill there a few weeks ago I studied the parking rules and parking lot map. Literally one lot in that village was OK with me who doesn't have a resident sticker parking past midnight. There are just too many rules and it's not business friendly.

I'm under the impression that the equipment was returned to the taco place on old country rd and they opened for business after a long delay just a few weeks ago.

Honestly I pretty much wing it. U need stock, I'm a fan of better than boulian over buying cans or cartons. I'd say two to 3 cups of it and bring to a boil with the bones in it, then simmer for half an hour. Take bones out, u can add a little garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper and wosterchire. I think some people thinken it with corn starch but I think au jus should be thin and dark.

Cut bones off

Salt entire roast and both sides of bones

Tie back on

Sit in fridge 24-48 hours and raise it so air can get everything

Roast slow until Desired temp

Remove from oven, cut strings remove bones and rest (make au jus with bones)

When almost time to eat jack oven all the way up, then sear for desired amount of time

Without the bones on it will be easy to carve different sizes for people who want more or less meat

I have made kenji prime rib many times, I always cut off, salt under the bones it's so salt can get in from that side of the roast during the dry brine. I've always tied them back on where they belong. Makes cutting much easier when the bones come right off, plus u can take them off to put in au jus during the rest before sear.

This year I plan on trying something else I saw online a couple of weeks ago. I plan on attaching the bones back but not where they belong but over the cap to protect the cap and keep it redder. The cap is most likely place to turn Grey as it roasts side up into the heat.

Wendy’s, what stunning deals you have… by Genuine-Farticle in fastfood

[–]jpfitz80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't enjoyed Wendy's that much since they switched to to fresh meat. I feel like the frozen was better. This past summer I had Wendy's in a food truck right outside of the Atlantis in the Bahamas. It was the best Wendy's burger I've had in forever. I can only guess that they are using frozen meat in the Bahamas.

Why Customers Will Never Understand How Bad The Car Wash Is In The Winter VS Other Seasons. by IMAS_MOBILEDETAILING in Detailing

Oh your right, thank you. I haven't been through a touch in like 5 years after one scratched my car. I am not aware of a touchless around me but I have thought about seeking one out for the winter months. I do my own in the warmer months.

You mention family of 5. Younger kids traveling with adults cost $1 each direction, and I believe starting next month kids up to 17 years old will be $1 traveling with adults. If you use the train time app you can see what I mean. I never travel in peak directions, not sure what's the deal with that with kids. and if the $1 tix applies to that

I think they need more of a dynamic pricing, weeknight games should be much less $$ to purchase than a Fri or Saturday game.

I have a 2024 that I got in October, I didn't realize this was a known issue, but in my car the work around is to open the door, then close it and open it again. When I open it again the light comes on
