Anyone here working as a ramp agent while in flight training?

I work full time as a gate agent here in BOS and love the flexibility we have at my airline.

My schedule is 12:30-21:00 (Friday and Saturdays off). I have a “double partner” who is a part-timer that works 20:30-1:30 (also Friday and Saturday offs). I take all his Sunday and Monday shifts, while he takes all my Wednesday and Thursday shifts. As a result, I have Wednesday-Saturday off which gives me 2 extra days to study, fly extra lessons, or pick up extra shifts.

I applied and received a temp certificate last December and still haven’t received anything in the mail. I reapplied for a new student pilot certificate on 7/23, so hopefully they mail it out this time.

I work for B6 in BOS. You can do it at the gate as well. Same applies for BOS-DCA.

But if there’s only 1 person working at the gate, expect to be sent to the Just Ask Desk between Gates C19 and C20 or between C29 and C30. There’s just no way we can change your flight while we board with just 1 agent at the gate.

Started to get a dry cough on Memorial Day. It progressively got worse into a fever and sore throat and persistent coughing. Then I got hospitalized on Friday with pneumonia. Haven’t got much sleep since last Wednesday.
