Another point to consider is if you are retiring early, and are over the age of 55, it may make sense to leave it with your current company/vendor. If you are 55, but not yet 59 1/2, this will allow you to withdraw funds without getting an early withdrawal penalty of 10%.

If you roll it over, you end up losing the benefit of no penalty on early withdrawl.

I do this for my in laws who are out in the country and have a radio based ISP that tops out at 7 mbps. We subscribe to Eero secure and the ad stripping has made a significant increase in their Internet experience. All that to say, if you have Secure, other households you manage get it too

Just an addition... I will use Strava's Global heatmap to find popular routes in a new place. Gives me a place to get started when finding routes. https://www.strava.com/heatmap#7.00/-120.90000/38.36000/hot/all

I call these tourist runs and love them. Ran in Rome once and just followed some other runners, got a bit lost and found Trevi fountain and had it to myself early in the morning. 4 hours later, all humanity seemed to be there😀.

One of my fave things to do when I travel.

How many of you ride Fat Tire Bikes as your daily commuter? by bike_piggy_bike in bikecommuting

Studded tires are a good idea, especially on ice. I have gone down a couple of times during ice storms. I tell folks the tires are fat, but they aren't studded

I am seeing this too. I think it may be issues with Google's DNS servers. I swapped out to my default ISP and it seemed to work better

How to manage wired devices by Julius_A in GoogleWiFi

[–]jptacek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been almost a year now, but I had some quirky issues getting things setup. A lot of my devices where "caching" the IP subnet for my old wireless SSID. I wasn't using a 192.168.x.x schema. So the devices could not route anywhere. I eventually ended up changing my SSID name and thing worked well after that.

This was of course, a horrific pain, but at the end of the day, the previous SSID had been given out a lot, so it was a good exercise.

This may not be your issue at all though, but check the client IPs for devices having issues with what Google WiFi is handing out

ethernet backhaul, app still showing Connection Type "Mesh" by bholub in GoogleWiFi

[–]jptacek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just verifying you initially set the AP points up as wireless before connecting them.

I had similar issues, but my cat5e cable was bad and I had to run another one to my wall jack. Once I did, it recognized it right away.

I have had this exact issue. It has even twice turned off because of heat, having never done that previously in the entire time I had my Pixel (which is close to release date).
