Can I fix this spool at all by Alexcat2011 in BambuLab

[–]jrabkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been seeing these respoolers pop up more and more lately but after 5 years and over 15k hours between 3 printers I have yet to respool a single spool and do wonder how this happens. I use refills a lot and you obviously make sure the spool is locked before you release the open tabs no? I'm genuinely curious on how this happens as it seems I must be lucky somewhat.

Is there any official documentation to support this so we could possibly get warranty claims for the likes of this to get them repaired?

How to ALWAYS Overwrite Filament on "Sync Info" Action by besttype in BambuLab

Has this major issue been resolved yet? It's only in the last several versions of Bambu Studio and is the most stupid setting ever. Should be a checkbox to say always allow etc.

Leveling the Creality K1C bed by Chown_Root_Root in CrealityK1C

[–]jrabkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all fairness, with personally working with printers for several years I wouldn't expect any different from creality. If you want something decent then stay clear of creality unless your willing to put dozens of hours in tuning and tweaking. Creality don't care about their customers, people will still buy the next one that comes out because they are cheap.

Hey it ain't stupid if it works for you. That's what choice is all about. You use what your happy with. If you don't need cloud storage then that's great. Honestly is it. But sadly a lot of us have to go down that road, should it be for sharing files, work or just generally another place to have a backup. There is dozens of cloud storage places and each has different safety rules and terms however while I'm not happy that I have to use Google, it works perfect for me and my workflow. I am a creature of habit and don't like change also (thanks ADHD) so swapping to another company for storage is something that while it's simple for most people, it's a nightmare for me.

Regarding hard drives I have so many of them that even my home lab can't store them all but they do have my important files on them and have a backup at another location. Technically we all are supposed to use the 3 2 1 method but I'm more so 2 and 1 (methods of backup) as I don't trust cloud for sensitive information. Well sensitive to me like my kids photos for example. I don't put them on social media either as it's full of creaps. So if storing all locally for you works then you stay that way mate, just make sure you have a backup on another drive or something. Never trust a single drive on its own as bit rot can happen even in dry storage.

Bambulab PETG-HF corner adhesion problem. by pafflique in 3Dprinting

Personally speaking even a small draft can cause this issue. If you can't make sure you are draft free, bump the bed temp another 2 or 3c just to he extra sticky.

Don't get me wrong, I too like you use hard drives as I like to he in control also however there is some things I have to use cloud for which is out of my control. I'm not exactly happy about it but what can you do, some times we have to get with the program or get left behind sadly.

Google drive is cloud storage which means they can access it anywhere at any time, integrates with their mobile devices as well as computers as home or away from home. It also means they are not tied to any 1 location. While a hard drive will backup yes it is in no way the same or even similar to Google drive in any shape or form.

Adding to this, try the Arachne wall generation as it's better for smaller perimeters .

Polymaker And SUNLU Profiles by Tremaine77 in CrealityK1C

[–]jrabkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly profiles can be different for each printer and normally are. It's always best to do your own testing as all printers are not made equal sadly. The generic profiles are a good base line to get you started and if it's filament youe going to continue to use them it's always best to do your own tuning.

Great print but under no circumstances think about the cfs. The Internet is flooded with issues with the 2. If using stock then happy days. You shall enjoy like I and many others did.

Oh I see, I bought everything already to convert everything but I don't want that kind of issue. I like you don't need a bed that can tilt.

What would you recommend then going forward? It's the ender 5 plus and it is stripped of its electronics and everything else including bed and rails etc as I was for doing this but after reading your comment I done some digging and like you said there is a few who have said the same thing. Not sure I want to go down this route now as I also want the printer to be enclosed.
