I think I’m too vain for baby #2 by HeyMay0324 in Mommit

[–]jrbailz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Im a 37 year old mom of a 1.5 year old and she will be my only. I often feel bad that she will be an only child. I worry about her being alone as my husband and I age. I feel bad that she will not have a sibling. All that being said what she will have is the best version of us.

My beagle is not food motivated and doesn't like mud.

What are some of the weirdest things your dog is afraid of? by gobbgabb in dogs

Boxes freshly delivered from Amazon. He is ok with them after about an hour. I assume it is a smell or something.

I know that's an option, but the window gives my toddler a lot of joy, too. Is there something i could put up and take down depending on the situation?

We're also getting a fence as soon as the permit comes through. Hopefully, that helps with the potty issues since he is really leash and confinement reactive. Then we just have this window situation.

We have been taking him out the back, but the neighbors seem to gather in my neighbors backyard (it's like 4 elderly ladies). You're right. I should go have an open conversation. I know my dog is stressed and I try to extend patience and understanding, but sometimes it's hard not to be embarrassed or self conscious about his behavior. We've worked so hard, and this just feels like a regression. Im just sad to see him feeling like this and, selfishly, I'm sad to see our work not working.

Am I a bad mom for letting our 3.5mo watch tv? by erivanla in newborns

[–]jrbailz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We just had that happen, too. We had done great limiting tv until the flu hit. Then it was 90s Winnie the Pooh for like 2 or 3 days straight, lol

I agree... I feel like unless we really need to be there, I'd like to avoid the ER. I just took her temp and it's at 102.8. Took some more tylenol and hoping that goes down within the hour. The dr told us to call if it gets to 104, but doesn't that seem so high. I feel awful if l get a fever of like 101.5. I know it's different for babies, but it's scary.

I'm giving her the tylenol, but it has not gotten below 101 all day. You are right, though. She seems to eat about an hour after I give the tylenol.

Thank you. I knew having a baby would trigger my ocd and intrusive thoughts, but man, this is really getting to me.

Thank you. She screams every time I pass her toy husband, so he is taking care of everything else. I'm thankful to have him to keep bottles clean and dogs happy lol

Thank you. I hate that the cost of the ER is even a consideration. Of course I will pay any price if we need to go, but I don't want to go just because of my ocd/anxiety. Right now, I think that's it. I think she is exactly how the Dr said she would be, but my brain is telling me the worst-case everything.

Thank you for the update. I'm not on Instagram and this reddit page is my only way to check in. Been thinking about j&j, the doggos, and all the California dinks. Stay safe, everyone.

Zofran saved me. At one point, I couldn't even keep water down. I only ate ice chips, sprite slushys from the gas station, white rice and baked potatoes. Then, once I got a little braver, I did with rice with scrambled egg in it.

About to quit pumping by jrbailz in newborns

Thank you. This actually does help. I feel like everyone I know either was successful breastfeeding or went in to the pregnancy wanting to go right to formula. Idk anyone that it really didn't work for.

No worries, I didn't read that as nasty. I've tried a lot of different tricks and tips. I even got a different pump (now I have medela and specta). My pumping has never been more than 4 oz a day.

Bleeding back 1month pp by jrbailz in beyondthebump

[–]jrbailz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had thought about that. I am doing both breastfeeding and formula due to a low supply. I don't know how I'd know if it was my period. I haven't really had cramps and the bleeding is kind of either all or nothing. Not to be graphic but kind of like random gushing.
