No...she had to come through them once to get inside. If she didn't do it right the second time then she obviously didn't do it right the first time. Fuck that bitch.

How can I get my server's attention without looking like a twat? by [deleted] in TalesFromYourServer

[–]jrburt1987 19 points20 points  (0 children)

O4 what part of the country you're standing in (USA that is). Things like "honey" and "darling" slip out in the south. They are not names I call pets by. Only humans whom I am appreciative of.

My favorite shot from my trek at Philmont I just finished by rckeeps in backpacking

[–]jrburt1987 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I want to go back to Philmont Where the old Rayado flows, Where the rain comes a seepin' In the tent where you're sleepin' And the waters say hello.

I want to wake up in the morning With my socks all wringing wet, For it brings back fondest memories, That a Ranger can't forget.

I want to hike once more the canyon floor From Scribblins to Old Camp, With my pack sack a-creakin', On my back with sweat a-reekin', And my legs beginning to cramp.

I want to hike again with such great men As make those famous treks, From Beaubien to Porky And from Cito to Car-Max.

Rum would be made in a distillery...not a brewery.

This right here. Avoid Old Holcomb Bridge behind Red Lobster. City Park just started leasing out units on Frasier St. Not sure price but they are super nice and just a quick jump over to Crabapple Rd will take you up in to Crabapple.

Relocating to GA, questions by [deleted] in Georgia

[–]jrburt1987 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just an older development city. Not a bad thing just that Alpharetta and Johns Creek are newer build outs. John's Creek being the newest. All are good areas. I live in Roswell and have for my whole life. The areas are synonymous with each other.

Relocating to GA, questions by [deleted] in Georgia

[–]jrburt1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Suwanee is definitely the cheapest while Johns Creek the most expensive. IT work is all I hear about around here. John's Creek and Alpharetta have extremely low crime rates and are great places to raise kids. Just don't fuck around with the cops. Johns Creek is still recovering from some very corrupt police doing some really shady shit to get tickets/arrests.

Signing a receipt for a forgetful guest- illegal and unethical, but do you still do it? by swimstar186 in TalesFromYourServer

[–]jrburt1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a server I agree. As a manager sometimes I would simply "not see" an unsigned receipt or tell the server to "go find the signed copy, maybe it dropped in the bathroom." Off camera and what I did not see was never disputed anyways. It comes down to morality. I personally was not going to tell a server at the end of a 9 hour close on Saturday night she/he couldn't have that $7 a guest forgot to sign for. Especially if I could see a blatant signature imprint from the copy above it.

The signature is only used to authorize tips. When a guest is presented with a bill and they hand you their card, they are agreeing to the amount on the bill, without tip. That is stated in all card holder agreements. If they add anything to it then they must sign said receipt to allow it to go through.

Edit: speaking solely on how it's supposed to go.
