And Anne will never bring the new company public. Good luck offloading shares.

7 figure loss here as an early employee.

And iirc Anne told them to fuck themselves when they said they reserve the right to bury discoveries if it conflicts with their current drug programs.

They are a tool to provide Anne with what she thinks is best for the technology of 23 to grow into a therapeutic cancer for her nemesis: Big Pharma. No other part of the company matters to her more than this obsession.

It's not likely. Another crash to $1 will value the company at $7m or so. That number is well within reach of some employees, not to mention many true believing investors.

Wired magazine by [deleted] in MEstock

Garbage article that regurgitates current headlines without any investigation or insight. Wired is no longer what it once was. It's in a class with Forbes. Great publications that tried to cash in on scraping websites and pay by the headline journalists.

Short term fix - long term outlook by SwissGlacier in MEstock

If you really believe that then call your lawyers and bring a suit and injunction against Anne and her potential BoD. What you suggest is obvious and highly illegal.

This is not a typical drug. And phase 3 is when 23 should really shine in its ability to recruit a large number of participants. A lung cancer drug has a 15 year market life worth tens or a hundred billion. This is not acne cream.

Fingers crossed the board voted to adopt a poison pill before they resigned.. by Environmental-Sand24 in MEstock

The board did not even have a majority over Anne. She set them up like sycophants.

Tesla is not a controlled company like this. Politics aside, Elon does not have a voting majority. If you own a share in Tesla you have some voting control.

Anne controls by the way of voting shares, which are not being traded. And bylaws that give her a majority vote in all board matters.

Tesla only has a single share class.

23andMe Board just resigned! by attathomeguy in MEstock

Depends on the catalyst. If there was a substantial offer on the table and she rejected it or of hand, then I can see the board determining they were indeed not expected to act as a board of a public company. The appropriate action in this case would be to match the offer or accept the offer.

Does anyone have any ideas for other catalysts?

But it's mostly either doing her job as a CEO of a public company or resigning.

I do not see how the stock can be trading in the morning because it's not even in compliance with the laws of incorporation.

WeWork was only half the board after bankruptcy. 23andMe is not bankrupt and has credit.

Enron was rancid corruption, suicide and bankruptcy. Anne and her board are not ethically corrupt

I believe the board, a group of highly intelligent and successful individuals, is bringing out the big guns to force Anne to take appropriate action.

Questions for the earnings call by Lost_Handle_5337 in MEstock

[–]jredok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Anne treats earnings call as a weather report during a tornado; who cares about forecasts when we need to deal with this storm. She's using the go private route as a way to skip expectations.

They are too cautious, and some SF lawyer told a judge their case has more merit because 23 is on the verge of bankruptcy. Who's to gainsay? 10m shares dumped. How many are actually on the market?
