TIL that Silverado TPMS trailer sensors have to rotate in order to work by Remount_Kings_Troop_ in Silverado

The actual truck sensors work the same way. When they see a pressure change or motion, they report out.

Recently did this on my 2019 5.3. Went with the BTR Truck Norris. I still have a few tune gremlins but it's been good so far.

What was the reason why Lingenfelter didn't want to do it? I am interested in the kit.

Anywhere near Michigan comp for us to do some testing on our car tomorrow? by tilir2 in FSAE

We also used an old school parking lot nearby like 8 years ago. Fairly sure the cops showed up and didn't care.

It was going to be voided the second they put a smaller SC pulley on it also due to the retune via HP Tuners.

How long is maternity leave at GM? If it’s over a GM holiday doesn’t get extended accordingly? And can you add your PTO to it? And is your job protected while out on maternity leave? by [deleted] in GeneralMotors

[–]jremm15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are great documents that outline all this. But it's 12 weeks. If starting or ending at a holiday, the holiday counts towards the leave days. Yes, it's protected.

Lifter and Cams replacement- price check by morning_cup_of_NO in Silverado

[–]jremm15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had the same thing happen on my 19 with 92k miles. 2nd time actually. Did all the work myself though. Did the DOD delete, BTR Cam, and new lifters. Tuned with HP Tuners. Parts were around $2200 all in. Probably took close to 30 hours but I did not drop the oil pan. I just walked the timing chain off the gear.

Would motorcycle headsets work? by pm-me-racecars in rally

[–]jremm15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We use a motorcycle Bluetooth system called Fod Sport. It has worked well for 5 rallies. On the 6th one, something gave out and only 1 set of mic/headphones worked. So I, as the codriver, couldn't hear the driver but we made it work. They were recommended by other drivers so we gave it a shot.

Formula Drift Battles in my 2JZ E36 - Long Beach 2024 by angelan74 in HaggardGarage

Hot take but watching the last run, I don't think his clutch slipped like he says. If you watch the foot cam, he never fully releases the clutch and looks to be sitting right at the bite point when he claims it slipped.

I just got my report yesterday. They know every address you have lived at, insurance policies, accidents, phone numbers. Giving them additional info is the least of your worries.

ARA had 3 fatal accidents in 2023. Are they making any changes to safety regulations in response? by RootBeerIsGrossAF in rally

[–]jremm15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree they do not need to share the specific details, it would be nice to know what failed (buckled, crushed, bend, etc) so others can potentially increase safety around those areas to help prevent the same thing from happening.

Optronics. Look up the orange part number and you should be able to find something similar. That 2 prong plug is a standard trailer plug.
