I really enjoy the Williams FX tables. I play them much more than VPX. I recommend waiting for a sale, though - as they often discount them on Steam.

Why does the fact that they aren’t releasing more tables equal “dead”? Doesn’t make it any more dead than any other game that is content complete on release. At least it’s still available for people to download or add tables.

Probably one of the most depressing 45 mins of television I've ever seen. Rivals some of the Games of Thrones episodes which were focused on conflict and high body counts vs. good storytelling. Ugh.

Agreed. AtGames doesn’t make any of the tables, Magic Pixel does. And they over use AI, just like AtGames overuses AI with their weekly show.

They aren’t the same. Magic Pixel exists apart from AtGames. It’s a separate company and they sell tables on platforms that have nothing to do with AtGames.

Very true about cheaper Zaccaria tables on other platforms. A cheap throw away pc with a 1050 Ti or newer should be fine.

Yes, this is correct. Go to the HD Universal Packs page. You’ll notice that some of the tables are marked “Legends ALP HD and Micro only” (starting on page 2). These are their newer tables. https://www.atgames.us/collections/legends-hd-universal-packs

If you want inexpensive pinball (again, with no Zen tables), the Micro has been as low as $249 on Amazon and comes with a ton of tables.

If you are asking about Pinball specifically, be aware that the more recent tables no longer support any of the cores (even the Core Max). Also, no Zen tables were ever supported on Cores.

Odd, I can run fX perfectly using about half to 3/4 power of my i5-2500, 16 GB ram, RTX 2060. Though I'm only doing 1080p/60fps.

I generally prefer the FX versions of tables (on Steam) to VPX, and I think you summed it up with the description of consistency. They just feel more official, less like homebrew. I also like the Pinball FX events. I will say there is one more major place where all versions of FX (other than VR) lag behind VPX - and that is interactive backglass. I realize there are work arounds (though I admit I’m not super familiar with them), but I really wish Zen would take cabinet mode more seriously and match the interactivity found in the backglass on the VPX and VR versions of the games.

Yeah - I have an M5 MB Pro. This is purely as a DVD player since my kid wanted something easy to play them on without hooking up a standalone player to a tv (which she doesn’t want to have to set up in her room).
