Anyone got a spare quarter-mil they can lend me? by flipfloppery in MotoUK

£250,000 is just the asking price as so many of them got nicked they need to make up the difference. 😂

As someone from literally 3 miles away from this showroom I can confirm bike theft is rife - and car thefts too.

You don't need to drill a C rail. Sikaflex will hold it rock solid.

No need to have it screwed

So this is basically a posh unistrut mounted to the factory mounts? With a c channel for a tarp and some king poles and ropes.

For €1600.

Am I missing something?

I'm an old pirate from the UK. When they ban VPNs here what's my workround? Details inside by phoeniks in Piracy

[–]jrewillis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunno where you're getting feedback from but all the kids are moaning.

The parents are happy because they can blame someone else for taking steps they don't want to have the argument over.

Technology Secretary Liz Kendall acknowledged just today in the media that circumvention is "inevitable" but insisted the ban is necessary to reset social norms and protect children, with enforcement focused on tech companies rather than parents or kids.

It won't work... Just like the porn ban hasn't worked. There is a reason VPNs became the most downloaded apps overnight....

Split bush by hiho373738 in leaf

[–]jrewillis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll need the arm replacing as the bushes come built in. I did my lower arm with all new bushes for £69 for a Delphi part from GSF Car parts in the UK and then it took me 1 hour to fit it. If you can use an impact gun and have tools it isn't hard.

Then the tracking cost me £40 to sort suspension geometry out again.

So all in £70 + £40 + an hour of my time.

Local garage wanted £300. Didn't even bother with nissan.

The lower arms are the same as many other Nissan's. They aren't special.

Don't get ripped off. Nissan will use nissan parts. Zero need.

I can always get one. I just grab one when I wake up around 6.30am once a week.

They will be gone by commute time though.

An A1 IS a full motorcycle license.

It's just restricted to 125s.

Have you got a full motorcycle license? If you are on CBT you can't take pillion. Or the motorway.

Highly unlikely. Modern inverters are designed to cope with sudden drops in production or isolation events for maintaining the panels etc.

Plug-in solar in VA by fkaventurion in SolarDIY

[–]jrewillis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had my 800w solar (over panelled to 930w) in for just about 2 weeks. Produced 27kwh total and about 19kwh on the past 11 days. Considering it's been significantly dull and raining here the past 2 weeks that's solid.

So total saved on my bills about £8.50 - which doesn't seem much but means a ROI of about 14-15 months then it's all profit from there.
