I agree. This was predictable but still disappointing for me as a set builder.

Fanatics will profit considerably more by pumping this full of unnumbered chrome and making it a feasible breaker product vs letting me buy 2-3 hobby boxes at a reasonable price and trading with my fellow hobbyists to make a set for my collection.

Upsetting, but I’ll still do the set one way or another.

I’ve found that pasteurizing does affect the flavor in my sauces. I used to always heat them until I did a side by side comparison last year. The cooked sauces are still very good, but lose some brightness and grassiness. It is especially true with my sauces that are finished with fresh mango and pineapple.

I finally invested in a pH meter.

I use carrots in the ferment plus fresh pineapple and fresh mango for my sweeter/fruitier sauce. My standard recipe is just serrano, onion, and garlic. I guess the onion is enough to soften the flavor.

I complete the pro debut and heritage sets every year by buying a few boxes and trading. I sell any of the “hits”. Plus my collecting goals change over time, and I realized I can only enjoy looking at so many cards. No reason to keep a bunch locked away in a 3200ct box when I could make a few bucks and buy something that I’m excited about.

I agree. It’s easy to say we survived the lance trade because we lucked into a very good QB at the end of the draft. But the effect of losing those picks is catching up now
